If certain teams are more affected than others, it throws the balance out. If the manager and coaching staff plus several main players are out from one club and the team they are playing are unelected, how does that work? Playing behind closed doors. How does that work when we are told that the support from the terraces means something?

If they had been killed by Muslim terrorists their pictures and life stories would be all over the media. A killer virus doesn’t warrant such in depth coverage. Make of that what you will.

Not so much a whimper, more a third rate unfunny seventies throw back attempt at comedy. I think a whimper would be preferable.

Not helping if you need to self isolate.

No, we are good thanks. But it seems the locals in the area feel it necessary to stock up and are hoovering them up. Just saw one on a local online sale site for £80 (clearly a joke). Perhaps it is just a Kent thing?

A helpful tip. Met a neighbour in Tescos and we were discussing the empty shelves where the loo rolls were supposed to be. As he walked off in the direction of the newsstand he said he was going to buy all of the copies of The Sun and cut them up into small squares. Genius.

Don’t worry Batman. If you have a house full of loo roll or go horse racing, you are clearly immune.

If other nations feel it is important to shut down, then yes. Why? To keep the mortality rate down. Does that make sense to you?

Apparently one of Johnson’s hero’s is Larry Vaughn, the mayor who insisted on keeping the beaches open despite a large shark hoovering up the holiday makers in Jaws. Could this be why we are still “open for business” while the rest of the world shuts down?

Did he say that he had his tits grabbed in his defence?

Seems reasonable. Give it a few more weeks and I doubt if there will be a choice anyway.

Just been to Tesco’s. Not a loo roll on the shelf. The lady at the checkout said people have even been nicking the loo rolls from the disabled toilets. WTF?
-
My thoughts too. We are just at the top of the iceberg at the moment and it be worse then. I can’t see the season resuming.

Just reading about Alex Salmond’s alleged behaviour remind me of a middle manager I used to work with a few years ago at the CPS, of all places. He had a long reputation of touching the women up. On one occasion I saw him grab one of the women’s boobs from behind. I asked her if she wanted to report it and said I would be a witness but she just laughed it off and said oh that’s just Tom (name changed, not that it makes any difference. When he retired we found a load of old Mayfair mags in his desk. My wife, who worked with him for over 30 years, told me that he used to grab her friend’s boobs (she is very busty). One day after she had had enough of it, she apparently grabbed him very hard between the legs. He never molested her again!

In speeches this week, both Trump and Johnson have been exposed as busted flushes. Under usual circumstances they have both got away with bull****, bluster and waving the flag. Now they have to step up to the plate and actually show what they are made of, both self centred narcissists have demonstrated that they are clueless when it comes to real leadership. Trump was still playing the nationalistic card through his White House address and showed himself up for what he has always been. Johnson looks so far out of his depth and comfort zone I actually feel embarrassed for him. As for the quote about being prepared to lose some loved ones before their time, what a strange choice of words. Neither of these clowns inspires the slightest bit of confidence. The only upside is that people who voted these chancers in can now see first hand what an awful decision they have made. Still, at least we got our country back.

As ever, a little ray of sunshine.

If you are going to cut the season short you can’t make any assumptions about where teams are going to finish, therefore no promotions, no relegations and no champions. It’s tough but it is fair to all. People’s lives are more important than sport.

Arteta has tested positive.

The news feed about not treating the elderly was from the Mail. Nothing on the BBC tonight other than other countries are looking at Italy’s model for battling the virus.
-
It’s not “big news” here but a guy a work with who is 72 so is keeping a close eye on things showed me a news feed earlier on his phone which reported that the Italians were going to concentrate their health care efforts on the young and that those over 60 would not be helped.
-
When you hear health officials in the thick of it in Italy condemning Johnson and Trump for their reactions so far it is more than worrying. They say that their response was just as complacent as ours currently is and look where they are now.
-
It is. And we are nowhere near the worst of it yet.

Gabbi has tested positive for it in Italy!
