Not usually my thing but the Diversity/JLS thing was excellent and should have been kept for the final. Bottom line as ever, we don't have to watch and we don't have to buy the records.

Same goes for the Premiership to be honest Alps. Money, that is the bottom line.

I went for 10 days and it rained every day. Mind you that was in August. We stayed on the west of the island but friends who stayed in the north had glorious sunshine every day.

Walcott certainly has pace but it is what you do with that pace. Having one great game once in a while does not make you a great player. Walcott does seem to lack a footballers insitct on occasion and perhaps that is why Wenger does not use him so much? He could still develop into a decent player but at the moment I think he is far from the finished article. When watching Barcelone the other night you realise how far behind these players many English players are techincally. Wenger is no fool.

These things need to be taken with a pinch of salt. Take The Apprentice too. You can't tell me these people are the best business talent we have to offer. Two or three are real contenders and the rest there for TV appeal. You would want many of them to run your local chip shop but some of the wannabees to liven up th process. So it is a money making machine for Simon Cowell. He is one in a long line of people who have milked other people's talent for their own means. You just have to look at the queues of people lining up for the auditions. Do the panel actually see everyone of the acts? Its a bit of fun at the end of the day and if people then choose to go and buy records made by people on the show that is there choice, not Cowells. Even established stars are wheeled out to sell their latest single on the show. That's entertainment....or not depending on your taste.

Really? Do you think that Barcelona play the way they do because their players spend several years getting kicked to bits in the lower leagues? Training with the best you can and being fed into the team gradually has to be better than scuffing around in the CCC surely? You can look at Walcotts career or that of a better player, Bale. Hasn't held his career back has it? I would say the reason Walcott has not developed as well is because he is not actually "that" good.

Given the resouces at his disposal I don't think he has delivered any less than what he and we expected. Netx year will be a lot tougher, espcially if we don't have a huge amount of cash at our disposal and the true test will be how he fairs when we do get promoted back to the premiership. So far so good, but we still have a long way to go and I think we will see what he is really made of next season.

With the current squad Nick or do you have insider knowledge about some new signing?

"There aint no cant." A typo perhaps? In a a parallel universe perhaps. Not impossible but highly improbable. It would take a lot of time and a huge investment. Time we have but we don't have the kind of money needed to make it happen. Next question....

I disagree. We do need the money as we have been told we have to live within our means. But that is not the point. If a premiership clubs wants him badly enough he will go. It is the same old reality of big fishes eating smaller fishes.

You are right. It is his decision and if he wants to go that will be it. I don't think it is a question of if he can be persuaded though...with the money and the crumpet guaranteed with Prem status it is just a matter of time.

What I am talking about is proportion not the person.

The Huddersfield fans must be gutted. I did get the impreesion that the team were running out of steam and Peterborough always have goals in them but it is a harsh way to end a terrific season for them. I am just glad that we didn't have to go through that lottery again. It was bad enough the last time. Is it about "entertainment" or about the best teams going up? I know which way I would vote if it were us and not Huddersfield in their place tonight.

It is all about proportion. If they look good on the body they are attached too..no problem.

To paraphrase Keegan, I would love it, just love it if Cortese brought Woodward (or a Woodward clone) back to the club. It would be interesting to see the take on all those who slagged him off before!

A lot depends on who we bring in. At the moment it looks like we will stick with the main squad so I will say mid table for us.

With Swansea in with a chance of playing in the Prem next season it has prompted the muppets on TalkSport to start going on aout Celtic and Rangers being let into the Prem. Thing is Swansea (and Cardiff) have been part of the Football League for donkeys years, so they are entitled. If Celtic and Rangers want to start at the bottom and work their way up, ok. Can you imaigine if we let them in and they both got relegated in their first season! Frankly if we are going to let teams walk staright in without getting promoted would you rather choose Ral Madrid and Barcelona?
