I agree that we should sail through the group. What I meant about a lot of work to do is that we are still far from a decent side. I dont think the defence is strong enough and we are weak defensively in midfield. Rooney is still a massive problem. Having made him captain it is hard to drop him but he clearly is not playing up to the standard you would expect of him. Dont know why we need to have an on-going capatin - perhaps they should just be picked on a match by match basis?

No wonder he got the best out of Palace (and Puncheon) last season then!!!

I missed that then. The guys in the Talksport studio said they hadnt heard it either.

Talking Tactics: Koeman gives Saints fans reasons to be cheerful

Yeah, I didnt get the Reading move. I am sure he would have picked up another Premiership job down the line eventually. -
It is a shame that he initially threw his toys out of the pram and I do wonder how much this is down to his agent or RK saying you aint going nowhere so toe the line now and you will get your move eventually. Either way, he said the right things and RK seems to be helping him to add goals to his game which is good for us now and will only help increase his value if and when he goes.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned earlier but heard a story on Talksport this morning that made me chuckle. Apparently when Beatts was playing under Pulis the team took a battering in one match. Pulis was in the shower and overheard Beatts arranging a night out with the lads. He was so incensed that he leapt out of the shower stark b*ll*ck naked an proceded to lay the nut on Beattie! This is why these things need to be kept behind closed doors! Wouldn't want to see a picture of that on Twitter!

I thought that Delph was supposed to play as DM last night but clearly not given the positions he was getting into. Thought he had a decent game though. Lots of positive comments on the performance on the radio today. I still think that defensively we were caught out too many times - probably as said through the lack of cover in midfield. Shame Morgan isnt English. Still a lot of work to be done but at least there were more positives last night and with the return of all of the injured players we will have more strength to pick from.

I think you will find that neither of your examples are examples of hypocrisy. I thought perhaps that Delldays/Batman was your chum because I was in correspondence with him and not you. You then decided to jump in on his side. I am not sure what is odd about that but if you think it is, fair dos. (Has he signed a new contract then?)

Strange post. So you are saying that they haven't printed any rubbish about us this summer???
-
Good result tonight. Still a lot of work to do though.
-
Do you really think he would want the job?
-
Who do you replace him with? Redknapp?
-
I think you are being a bit harsh, we made some good chances in the 1st half. Look a bit vulnerable at th back though. At least we arent sitting back.
-
Indeed. But Ron has said he aint for sale and he has played a straight bat so far. Things can change and we could get to January and find that he isnt able to get back to where he was, but I think we need to worry more about him not signing a new contract than being sold in January.

Thats because the boys have been picking on me!
-
Could well have gone in in front at HT. At least we are making chances.

I love the saying "genuine rumour." The point is it is just a rumour. Another point is why should it make any difference if it is Manchester City or Spurs. We knocked back Spurs why would we roll over for City?

Sepp Blatter considers "review of decsions"

Charming. Are you the guy who said I hope you die soon to Branfoot by any chance? -
So, going with Delph then, defensive set up.
-
Aw sweet. I see the boys are back together again although Robbie and one or two other of the matress moisteners are still missing?

I can see why you are called Dig Dig. Go back and look at his first comment. He states there very clearly tha Luke Shaw was the best left back last season. Later he changed his stance. You say pointlessly trawled the Internet. I was simply looking for anything to balck up what you chum said and couldnt find anything. The reason being that I was mking the point that Delldays often comes on here and makes generalised statements with no proff to back them up. You are welcome to think that I am odd. I think the same of the group of you who have been so negative through the summer based on nothing but conjecture. As for hypocrical, proof please? And opinions, I have plenty of opinions and you would know that if you read the threads. I'll give you one now from earlier in the year. Instead of slagging the Board off why not wait until September and see if they deliver or not. That was an opinion was it not? It is nice that you are supporting your mate but I'm sure he can stick up for himself.

It would have been interesting to see what Adkins could have done with more time and a couple more transfer windows, but we shall never know now. I hope he gets another chance with a Premiership club soon. -
Interesting that he has been considered for some time so not a "panic buy" then. The fee seems high but if he does a job then fair play. Good to see that this is not all just thrown together.
