From what I understand from what we have been told these two are part of a "core" group of players that the club (which includes RK) wants to keep in order to build a new squad around. It seems that they have decided who to sell and who to keep. Makes perfect sense to me. As is repeated time and again, lets see what the squad looks like at the end of the window and take it from there.

I think that Harry Redknapp needs to take some of that blame doesnt he CB?

Someone has to balance the one way traffic Alpine. We did get to a Cup Final (something that Cortese seemed to have a problem with) European football and we did have some decent years. It wasnt all bad. Yes it went pea shaped at the end but many people had a hand in the downfall (Wilde, Crouch et al) not just Lowe. Lowe and his colleagues should take credit for what they did with the acadamy because they did a very good job. I am no lover of Cortese but am prepared to accept that he delivered. There is very little black and white in life. And Alps, I am not hankering after him ok? By the way, I left you a present on the 80s/90s Totty thread
