  1. When my step daughter reached puberty we experienced several weels of poletegeist activities around the house. Pictures fell of walls and bayonet fitting light bulbs jumped out of the chandelier and smashed on the floor below. I also know a medium who has been right about a number of things. She mentioned some time back that an ex girlfriend of mine in America was pregnant - someone she didn't know and didn't know where she lived - months later I heard from this person's sister that she had had a baby girl. She already had 3 children by her first husband and was in her 40's so it was not as if she was young and it was going to happen at some point soon. They aren't always right as we have free will and can change the course of our lives, but it seems they can pick up on particular paths. This person is also a healer and described to a friend of mine perfectly the shape of her brain tumour which had a stalk connecting two larger sections - something she never could have guessed. When she passes her hands over you you can feel the heat coming from them. She moves energy around the body. I don't understand it but do think there is something to it. For sceptics - lie down and get a friend to hang a crystal on a thread about your chakra points. The crystal will rotate at these points as it picks up the energy centres. There is an awful lot that science still can't explain.
  2. Not ideal having to play United in your last game and win to stay up..but tis done now.
  3. Should be an interesting game. Huddersfield have had a great run but Peterbro have goals in them. After a long hard season it comes down to one game. Glad I am not a Huddersfield fan at the moment.
  4. A number of that squad are still plying their trade in the premiership and we had a great youth set up in those days. If only Redknapp had spent that £6m more wisely. Davenport was a HUGE mistake. In retrospect hiring Redknapp was probably the biggest mistake though. I couldn't get over the way he talked about us in the third person and many of his decisions (as noted above) defied belief. The thumbs up to Mandaric after the humiliation down the road was bizarre to say the least. Still, we had flirted with relegation for a number of years and clubs like us will always struggle against the Man Us and Arsenals financially - and money is what the Prem is all about. If we do get back up there staying there will not be easy and maybe we should be more thankful for the years we spent there than regretful for the years we haven't.
  5. And to think WGS wanted to sign a different keeper at the time!
  6. Quinten
  7. Tarquin
  8. Yep, what a bastard eh? Best wins per match ratio record before Pardew and Adkins came along. Who needs it?
  9. Maybe he was, but he is still a CCC manager and whose to say if he will go any further?
  10. But sometimes you do have the right manager and he needs some time to get things right. It is knowing when to let someone go and when to keep them that is the test.
  11. For a wrinkle resistant linen suit. Surely they hired the wrong Redknapp?
  12. Let's hope he didn't do a "Pulp Fiction" with it!!!!
  13. I am sorry to hear of your experience but glad it was resolved. I have three young girls and losing one of them is my biggest nightmare. I am divorced and took tem abroad for the first time the year before last - Turkey. I didn't let them out of my sight for two weeks! I should imagine a lot of people would be looking to get thier snots in the trough. Have the Portuggeuse police closed the file yet? I would image that Interpol would also be involved but don't know how long they would keep the case file open. My ex wife is like Mrs McCann and puts her entertainment before her concern about the girls. That is why this case winds me up so much. There for the grace of God etc. One thing I could never get my head around. These are not people who are strapped for cash. No one is blaming them for having a night out but why oh why didn't they arrange a baby sitter? Oh and one more thing in answer to the sanctimonious charges. When I first heard about this I was morified for the parents. It was only when I saw the map and realised just how far they were away from the children that I became all "sanctimonious" about it. These people were not just sitting out front where Maddy could have wondered out and found them. They were a fair distance away. Can you imagine how terrified that poor child was when she woke and couldn't find her parents?
  14. What an unbelievablely stupid post. I assume you do not have any children of your own? Young children are totally reliant on their parents/carers for protection. To go out and leave young children on their own is an act of gross child neglect. Where does this "bloody thirsty" rubbish come from? God knows what happened to this poor child but it happened because the two people she relied on the most in the world were too bloody selfish and put their own evenings entertainment before the safetly of their children. THis thread happened because the mother has now written a book and is dragging the whole sorry episode up again. hence comments. You and Bath Saint should just think yourselves lucky that you had parents who looked after you. Something we all expect but that was denied to Maddy.
  15. This is the thing though isn't it. We would all want to go and search but where would you even start? We have professional agencies who do this stuff and are there day in day out when the trail has gone cold. These people aren't detectives and whilst they have a part to play in raising Maddy's profile (who will look nothing like those pictures now) they still have a family to raise and lives to lead. Think about it. God forbid it should happen to you but after the first few months where would you go to look? The whole thing is awfully sad but made more so by their gross negligence in the first place.
  16. I think the people who gave money did so thinking that it would go towards the seach for Maddy rather than paying off mortgage payments - even if only 2.
  17. I think the point is that we expected promotion this season after the foundation was laid last season. It will be harder next year and Adkins and the team will be expected to take a step up.
  18. Has Alps been on yet? I am a bit worried that he may have exploded with joy!
  19. Absolutely excellent second half to the season and an awesome run in. It will be tougher next year and that will be a better measure of his abilities but for now - job well done.
  20. I am with you here. No matter how incompetant the police, they must have had some reason to doubt the McCanns. Awful to lose a child in this way and even worse to be suspects if innocent, but I too feel that there is more to this.
  21. Yes they are, but she seems to be the one who is constantly in the media. I just found today's press tasteless and unnecessary. What they both did that night was unforgiveable and they will carry the guilt of their carelessness and selfishness to the grave. BUt by constantly raacking it up are they really trying to do their best for Maddy are just assuage their guilt?
  22. I am sure it will, but why keep airing it in public? It is like picking at a scab.
  23. I do have some compassion for her and I can't imagine her pain, but it has been some time now. There are lots of parents out there whose child has gone missing but they go about things with dignity. These people seem more concerned with themselves than with Maddy and her memory.
  24. Excellent post. Whilst I won't miss it you make a good point. I hate what the Premiership has become and also won't be too disappointed if we stay in the Championship for a bit.
  25. You would like to think it is. Sadly I think that Maddy is probably dead. Either the way, the chances of her being found now must be minimal.
