Second half he was good to be fair. First half he was shocking.
-
He seemed to get his foot in a few time sand looked very composed on the ball. Does look more of a natural CDM than Smallbone who cannot tackle to save his life.
-
Positives - Alcaraz, Charles, Adams & Amo-Ameyaw. Negatives - the whole defence, Edozie & Tella who has been very poor since coming back from Burnley. Bazunu couldn't do anything for the goals.
-
Stephens was terrible today. Not sure ehe should playing let alone captain. Go and get Harwood-Bellis.
-
Not true according to the reporter for the Bournemouth Echo.
-
This really. It'll be tough to find someone willing to play in the championship who is a proven goalscorer that possess every single attribute.
-
Pretty sure he has a source at the training ground.
-
With Downes coming in I'd rather it was Piroe.
-
The way I see it is.. We won't sign a striker until one of Adams/Onuachu have left. We won't sign a CM until Lavia has left. We won't sign a CB until ABK goes. We won't sign a RB unless KWP goes. Let's just hope we don't sell all these players on or around deadline day eh...
-
We could stick a cheeky sell on clause in there. Win win.
-
Looks like it's gonna be Chelsea signing Lavia then..unless Brighton are interested now?
-
To be honest last season we had the same problem. Seemed to concede most times the opposition had a chance. I don't doubt Martin's style will leave us a bit exposed, I just feel the one thing that's been a constant is the same set of defenders/goalkeepers.
-
Not only that but Lavia and Tino are genuinely worth their price tags to other teams. They are good enough already and have the potential to become world class. We were never getting £40m for JWP and surely everyone knew that. He just wasn't in demand, won't improve and isn't good enough for the big teams.
-
I have seen this mentioned. We compromised on the fee to get more of the money upfront.
-
To be fair the club have (will have) made an incredible profit on 3 players. It was always going to happen. Leeds have loaned players out and are likely to lose Adams and Sinisterra as well. Leicester have lost Barnes and Maddison.
-
With the amount of money we are raking in, there is no need to sell Smallbone. Especially if it's for a low fee. Might as well just use him for the season (he clearly understands the managers game plan) and let him go on a free if he doesn't sign a new deal.
-
He's spot on as well. These useless p*icks have had countless opportunities and been crap every single time. Djenepo, McCarthy, Bree, Aribo, Lyanco just to name a few.
-
Same team that started against Sheff Wednesday. Personally I'd rather have Adams up top but can't see that happening now he played the majority of the game tonight.
-
Leeds definitely deserved a point from that. Probably a fair result given how well Cardiff defended in that second half.
-
Most teams we play this season will be sitting deep, hoping to frustrate us. Adam Armstrong will be pretty useless against those sides. If Ipswich genuinely do want him and offer us £8 million I'd snap their hands off.
-
He just doesn't offer enough of a presence to play up top on his own. Constantly dropping deep and never in the six yard box when it's needed. Just look at Che's goal. He's in the right place after a little bit of good movement.
-
Matt clearly has a contact within the club. There's certainly been a large turnover of staff over the last few months..
-
I'm yet to be convinced that Tella has what it takes to succeed in the Premier League if I'm honest.
-
Bednarek is the better defender and Stephens is better with the ball at his feet. I think that pairing should be adequate for the championship but if ABK leaves I'd definitely like to see another CB coming in.
-
I'm not sure JWP will stay as a matter of choice. I just don't think anyone else other than West Ham are interested. If they don't stump up what we want then I can see him staying.
