Spoke to my Bournemouth supporting pal last night and he reckons he'll be one of the best wingers in the league. He said he turned into a bit of a billy big bollocks for them and downed tools, but when his head is right he can be really good.
-
Doesn't really bother me to be honest
-
Yeah, pretty sure that's all the manager wants from him at that stage in the game. Just keep the ball and he's done it well so far.
-
You do need a good one though. When we first bought one we got a relatively cheap one, just upgraded to a Ninja and it's in a totally different league.
-
I was basing it on ABK being sold tbh. Obviously if he stays then 1 would be ok.
-
Think that would be risky. 3 genuine CB's and suspensions/injuries more likely this season.
-
Russell Martin fearing the worst. That means it's likely either ACL, torn hamstring or ruptured achilles.
-
If we sell Lyanco and Stephens misses a large part of the season then we will need two CB's in addition to Holgate (assuming ABK is sold)
-
We haven't had a full back that can provide assists for god knows how long. His creativity going forward is not something to bash him on. Going the other way however..
-
I got shot down when I suggested that after the Plymouth game. His body language has been off so far this season.
-
I've seen enough of Armstrong now to say that he is not a No.9. Far better from the left or slightly deeper in midfield.
-
Another pretty decent display. Made one very good save on the first half and held the ball well from crosses. This is probably his level.
-
He is playing up top.
-
Tbh his passing has been better than Stephens so far this season.
-
The problem for me is we've got a huge September. Sunderland, Ipswich, Leicester, Leeds. You'd want a proper CF in for those games.
-
You can't see Bednarek being happy with potentially being third/fourth choice. If we sign Wood as well as Holgate then I'd be surprised if he isn't sold.
-
No way is Holgate the KWP replacement. Listen to his interview, he has come here to play centre back.
-
There's still a week left for someone to meet our valuation. Very plausible that a lower half Prem team (Palace, Bournemouth, Fulham) will sign him, possibly even on the last day.
-
Signed a new 3 year deal according to the Athletic
-
Agree with this. The Adams replacement is they key one and has to be the one where we show some ambition. It'll possibly make or break the season promotion wise.
-
If Sports Republic don't put any of this cash back into the squad between now and next Friday, are we allowed to question their intentions?
-
Can't wait to see a front 3 of Armstrong, Fraser and Amo-Ameyaw. The shortest forward line in history?
-
At this point I'd be offering Paul out on a free and loaning Mara.
-
Anyone know if he's signed in time for tomorrow?
-
With Che and Tella playing I'd have said a nailed on home win. Without them I'm much more pessimistic. Alcaraz is probably our best hope.
