I'm not one for just chucking money around but Ipswich have been in the premier league for 5 minutes and they've already broken our transfer record. Pretty damning really. We need to make a couple of statement signings this summer otherwise we will be back down before we know it - the PL is just getting tougher and tougher.

Indeed, I have absolutely no issue with Walcott at all. I just don't think you can compare the two returns.

Plus Lallana has always been a better football player than Walcott.

They never have been the worst owners. Rasmus took on too much responsibility and made some poor decisions last season but he realised that and took a step back. They've clearly got the clubs best interests at heart, that's the main thing.

Luton didn't bring in many players and looked like a real Championship side. Burnley signed more players but were all pretty average so it works both ways. The recruitment has to be spot on.

I don't think he'd get in the side if I'm honest. Strong and relatively quick but he often left his man totally unmarked in the box last season. He certainly has the potential, but I certainly wouldnt lose any sleep if he left permanently.

Surely the priorities are CF, GK, LB and CM (Downes hopefully). Probably right back if KWP goes. It's got to be a busy summer!

I was critical of him last season (rightly so) but this season he has been incredibly impressive.

He was very good but it's horses for courses and Adams bullied their centre backs up at Elland Road. I'd like to think he could do the same again.

Team selection wise...If Adams is passed fit I'd bring him in for Brooks. Other than that same side please.

Took a whack when he came on in the first leg according to Martin. Apparently nothing to worry about but given RM's track record with telling fibs on injuries, who knows.

Putting it out there but Downes is definitely the best CDM in the league. I'm shocked West Ham didn't give him more of a chance last season.

What a game. Thought we were superb. Need that sort of commitment in the final and we will be alright!

Judging from Martins comments I think he'll be on the bench. Give Stewart 60 mins then bring Che on.

Rowe started well but has been pretty poor since January by all accounts. Sounds like he has a big attitude problem.

I think the general consensus from those of us that were there was that it's a decent result and a solid enough away performance. At the end of the day West Brom have a very good home record and they didn't cause us many problems apart from those first 15 minutes.

Yep and to be fair the whole team were crap in that away game at Watford.

The West Brom fans really got behind their side yesterday. I can just see it now, one dodgy pass from McCarthy in the first minute and our fans will be on the players backs. Can't be doing that in this sort of game, need to be singing and encouraging for 90 minutes. At least there's a fair few people getting to the game early to welcome the team into the stadium. Can't wait for it.
