I agree, I'd rest Stu for this game. We know he struggles with multiple games in quick succession and he's played 3 in 10 days now. Although Stephens did ok today I still don't think he should be starting in our best team so I'd put KWP back into defence for this one.

He's got a lot of potential. Often struggles with his final ball but it was much better today.

We know his finishing is crap but we don't have another player at the top end of the pitch who can link the play like Adams can.

I'm not sure. He seems like quite a level headed guy and even admitted himself and the other players had let the club down last season. Personally I think Martin brought Manning in to be first choice and told Perraud he would only be back up and they'd be happy for him to go if any offers came in for him.

I've seen a few more positive signs from Mara lately but until he learns to use his body more/better then he'll never be effective as a lone striker, it's far too easy to get the ball off him at present.

In terms of a striker it's not just goals. In that first half yesterday there was no one showing for it up front. The CB's only options were sideways or back to the keeper but when the sideways pass wasn't on, we got caught on the ball as there wasn't anyone to play it into.

Bazunu's all round game is much better this season. Apart from the occasional blunder letting in shots to his left, I'm much more confident in him these days.

Similar to Manning. Both have good passes in their locker but are also prone to giving it away in dangerous areas. That's why I'd stick with THB and Bednarek. They have less clangers in them.

Despite Stephens being a good leader and a relatively solid defender, one area of his game that is overrated is his passing. He seems to give it away in dangerous areas quite a lot, as proved by the under 21s game the other night. He just isn't as good as Bednarek or THB but is a decent option as 3rd choice.

Ryan Fraser crossing to Onuachu could be a brilliant weapon in this league. Sadly we'll never see it happen. Technically he isn't good enough for us but could always be an asset off the bench.

Martin would be a complete fool to change our centre back pairing now. I just can't see it.

According to Tanswell we are after a right winger and another player on loan (guessing a striker). I'd still like to see us bring in a left back as well but think the top end of the pitch is more important.
