  1. I fail to believe that your s/t sales are near the 12k mark. You may get there by the seasons start but not yet. If you were at that level they PFC ticket office would be shouting it from the rooftops to get the rest to get a shift on or lose out.

only if it was played in Amsterdam of course.
  3. I have been told that the managers post match interviews are noit on the DVD, not happy then not happy now
  4. I am a fan of anyone who saved us from oblivion. I never jumped up and down in excitement when he took over as I read his history and how he goes about things. I dont expect big signings just because he has money, but i see safety and that is fine by me. Mark Fry nearly coc### it up big time and got lucky at the last minute IMO. I had converstaions with people dealing with him and he was almost too clever for his own good.Taking Pinnacle before the Swiss could easily have p###ed them off and leave forever. He backedthe wrong horse but luckily the one laging behind had the staying power to win and save his bets. I thnakyou for your first sentence though
  5. If like me he was sat in the dinner hall at Shirley school to watch Armstrong set foot on the moon for the first time, he is right. The capsule may have landed during our night time, the first moonwalk (before Jacko) was done during schooltime as our school also sat and watched.
  6. Well you don't get it.I stated from the off that it was not a criticism. It was my summary of how things will pan out, all IMHO. ML's business philosophy is that businesses are not subsidised but run on their own. Therefore i draw from that he will not be spending big and the club wil run off its own steam. Perhaps an initial spend to get us back on track, but the thought of lording it over all the other league clubs with big spends is not likely. As i say not criticism but realism. The club was bought outright and there in NO debt, therefore the 2.4 m mortgage repayments will now not have to be found, all helping the bottom line. As for the Kaka snipe, perhaps you will put up a post where i have ever expected high class players? I am grateful to have a club, it is all the overexpectant fans who have gone overboard who are taking my comments as some kind of affront.
  7. I was not one of his biggest fans, but I could understand why he took certain strategies, and defended hois position from a financial prudence viewpoint.. I am a fan of ML, and his prudent running of a business.(I wish the government were as shrewd)
  8. At least you can understand what i was alluding to, not a criticism but an observation. I agree that he may have more ambition than RL, but in the financial sense of it paying its way (ML is by far a better businessman of course, and I dont want to bring the old arguements about that man)
  9. I also dearly want to be wrong. It has been put on here Leeds make a decent profit in L1. ML got rid of the major cost of running the club in his purchase. To break even is a much lower level now. Of course he may have bought the club as a loan and interest to be paid back to him . That will of course make the running costs seem higher. The leopard reference is not aimed at Saints but to MR Liebherr, in respect he has made it evident that all businesses have to stand on their own feet, therefore I doubt his ethics are going to change. As I say I hope to be wrong. I do expect a small amount of money to be made available to purchase players to make sure we can comfortably stave off relegation. If we start doing well, the crowds will return and then the transfer money will be self generating
  10. iam very happy, i made an observation not a complaint.Iam very happy to have a football club to support.
  11. Lol, I love it when the grammar police trip up.
  12. it's not a complaint just an observation.I will be delighted to be wrong, but reading what they have said it seems what is happening.
  13. After Bellemy has had a fight with 2 or 3 of the players then there soon will be room for all the strikers.Arsenal will spend wisely
  14. I love the way that they can now computer generate colour on pictures of pre war images.

I wouldnt be surprised if David james was off as well, HR needs another keeper.Of course they was not going to be a firesale down there. Lol
  16. I think after the initial furore of the new owners arrival, it will sink in to most that we have RL part 2 but with a much better PR face. The club they said from day 1 would have to stand on its own feet, and apart from a little bit here and there i suspect we will be run as a profit making company.I would keep back from lauding it over other fans as i think it may back fire on you. we are saved that is the best bit, the rest will be struggle and perhaps an initial putting in a bit of funds to help stave off the relegation thing, after that we will be much on our own. A leopard does not change its spots. Iam not against that by the way.
  17. I dont think he looks that old to be fair, just that he carries more aches and pains than an real old timer
  18. I knew that, but you were part of my brave heroes on the night, who reminded me of Terry Butcher playing with a blood covered bandage around his head......well limping a lot
  19. Its always good to get into the back of Mercedes

Yep, cynical use of the situation (im not surprised) but then trying to pull the wool over the fans eyes as though he had never even thought of leaving. Some people just get lucky and JT is 1 of those people who were in the right time and right place. When you think he was nearly sold to Palce for 250 k some years back.I cant recall who was the manager there then.

funny how long it has taken him to release his statement.' I haven't had time until now' he said yesterday, Lol. No he hasnt had time as he has been negotiatoing a massive pay rise IMO.PL football is nausiating, and if he thinks the fans will fall for it I do hope he is wrong.
  24. Pompey will not get relegated this season IMO. Burnley Stoke Hull and 1 of the other promoted clubs will be scrapping to up.Pompey still have enough experience to finish 3-4 places above the relegation zone.I wouldnt be surprised if HR takes James away from FP well. Could anyone tell me where HR's spiritual home really is, because when i saw him speak about Crouch on sunday he diednt seem to show much love for them then.He is a slug and his spiritual home is probably some off shore account.
