NC I grew up with firstly Ron Davies being my hero, followed by MC and then MLT. Big Ron if push came to shove is probably my biggest hero not because he was the best but it was in my formative years where I forgave any of his faults and turned a blind eye to them. MC was great but he did break my heart as a 12 year old lad and decided to go and desert us. MLT came to the fore when I was in my late 20's, the dewey eyed he can do no wrong stuff was gone, and I was by then a cynical football fan. Yes he may not have run around like a headless chicken and tackle(Greaves sadi he couldnt tackle a bag of chips) but he was the motivation and hope of not only the fans by his teammates as well. He could have moved on, he didnt as he was of the mindset of wanting to be assured happiness here rather than the risk of being a failure/not successful and appreciated elsewhere.Money I believe is not his motivation and that is refreshing, i can relate to that and forever his footballing prowess I will hold. We even named our dog after him!!! Sad i know but it was if he was a part ofr our family and someone I could be really proud of during those years of dross. Ps I was in Florida and met some Brazillian football fans and when they asked what club I supported they all said Le Tissier. We had been relegated by then, but we were remembered for his deeds only. Show him the respect he deserves and forget his lack of business nous.

I believe we have taken more beatings than an escort at a Max Mosley party. 8-0 everton 7-0 leeds 7-2 Liverpool the list is endless it seems.That has formed my mindset over the years and I like many when we were 3 up v Leeds a few seasons ago said to a friend we might get a draw now. Time has eroded any faith in our club winning and that mind set really will be hard to shift.I had hoped that the young players coming throuh had a winning mindest ande so would be more hardened against losing. it seems that was a forlorn hope.

I do accept that the kids are notthicker and apologise for that statement. They are not brighter and I would say the exams are getting easier to pass IMO or to get a decent grade. Most of the young are great and I enjoy their banter, I probably should be aiming my ire at the government who take us all as fools trying to make out the system is getting better year on year.

if I did it would be down to the education system in Botswana, Zimbabwe, New Zealand etc.

for 30 years we have been kicked in the guts.Having to enjure big beatings by 6-7-8 goals.A high percentage of late goals against us, never being ever to hang on to a lead , never knowing whether we would turn up and play well, terrible away form and I think there was a survey that had us losing more games than any other club over a long period. So that is why the fans get so peeved when we let in yet another equaliser/losing goal.I may add i dont get on the team, but it is probably as i am used to disappointment now

it has been IMO a clever piece of business. He has a club on the cheap and if they stay up he has hit the jackpot, if they go down they have a massive parachute payment to get them up again.His signings are to build for that it seems.They will be like the next WBA yo-yoing the leagues and will get stronger.The timing of our relegation out of the PL made us miss the real trappings of the money to stay up.The Skates just by having a position in that league will survive and still be in the upper reachs of the CCC or scrape by in the PL. We have to try and get up with them.They will not be passing us by IMO

As far as Im concerned kids are dimmer than they were 10-20-30-years ago. Ask any of them to do some mental arithmatic and they get into a hot sweat. The government are pulling our plonkers, of course the parents wont have it that the exams are easy and so look favourably on them for that.

im against PR, and as you come from near where I now live i also see the nonsense in safe seats. I was watching the tv and it was pointed out that over 400 seats in parliament are safe seats! so it means those people have jobs for lifew and so no accountability.Now that is wrong, whatever colour of flag they stand behind.
