Doesnt answer the question about how the otherplayers who were here how they will feel him trotting back here. I dont rate him and so my opinion is skewed perhaps. He scored some marvellous free kicks but I can never recall him bossing any games ( apart marking the Palace player that time)> It frustrated the hell out of me how he didnt play the ball forward and make killing passes (smallbone was more effective at that)

What would the squad members who plyed with him who saw him drop us like a brick so not to face the slog of the championship think? We seem to have a pretty decent unity at present, do we want that affected

What would the dressing room dynamics be? this needs to be taken into account if we get him back. Jack is a major figure and would he be happy to take a back seat and potentially lose his captaincy. Add to that other players who were with us when we went down and he scuttled off may resent him . As for others out there I mentioned James Justin who was superb for Leicester and scored goals. There will be gems out there that Spors may well pluck from Europe

Im surprised that you hold that position, you usually can see the better quality players, Charles IMO will go on to be a very good player. Put him with other PL players and he will grow. Time will tell and no doubt you will point out to me if he fails

I can recall his best was under Jones when he played him in a forward role, scored 2 goals and never played him there again!!!

I never sawwhat the fuss was about him as he annoyed me with his safe sideways and back passing, ok he could take a free kick and a corner but IMHO his corners came in with such velocity it was hard for anybody to time the run

It is not the physique of player I thought we would go for. I thought Tonda wanted 6ft tall players who had a bit of pace. Doesnt strike me he fits that bill.

The club has always wasted money on poor buys, that comes with the territory. As you say the increase will raise 550k , that is not us footing the bill it is just a natural increase in the costs the club has to factor in to be close to the same position financially we were last season. Time to get over the spygate stuff, the club may well have thought that if we get caught its going to cost us a fine, never expecting to be thrown out. I doubt anybody in football would have thought any club would have this measure after the way Leeds were handled. You are a totlly committed Saints fan and I feel its time to either accept or walk, I do hope you keep the first route as in the long run you are cutting your nose to spite your face. As for last season, those 4-5 months were worth every penny and in all my years following Saints (since 68) there are less that 10 and a little as 5 that gave me as much excitement and pleasure.
