  1. When the teams came out and our players were holding their babies I did wonder if there would be a loss of focus, it had a feel of a end of season game that meant nothing. (I assume as it was the last 3oclock kick off is why they did this) It certainly showed in the first knockings of the game as we didnt seem up for it. Brilliant how the Northam sung OWTS to lift us when Derby scored, these little things make a lot of difference
  2. He wasuseless and a self proclaimer of how good he was. He walked into the Saints dressing room when Pardew was there and gave him his book on coaching, as soon as he walked out it was put straight in the bin. That is from someone who was there
  3. Sadly its such an obvious knock off as it is so bright yellow. People need sunglasses to look at you lol
  4. Interesting you put Millwall to do so well, they have a thin squad
  5. As I put earlier in the thread, in my nearly 58 years of following Saints I have only had the chance to see us play at Wembley about 7 times, many barren years were had. If people are banking on a play off final and so bin this they could be making a mistake. Visiting Wembley to watch the Saints is an experience that shouldnt be missed (I understand if it is due to finances) The fans support could be a part of making the dream come true. Dont want people to say that you couldnt even sell out!!
  6. Is this a guess or fact?
  7. I think its time to give Johanna Spors some credit with the manager appointment and his purchases this season, some real gems
  8. Yes, different days and as you say the club really made it hard to obtain tickets. It really suppressed the day, although that team was nt worth supporting lol
  9. I had let my S/t lapse and the prblem I had getting tickets for the play off final was immense. I was fortunate that Farmer Saint (after Hypo let him know) saw my plight and got me one, something I will always be grateful for. Anyone who went to the play off final and the other night Im sure will be gagging to get tickets
  10. The atmosphere outside the ground after was pretty good and was told the bars in Oxford Street were bouncing . I dont think after the WBA game was it so good. The amount of texts I got from non Saints fans saying how good we were and how good the game was amazing. Even people who arent really into football said to me when I was wearing my Saints hat in Salisburysaid the same
  11. Amazing, we are sounding like entitled Arsenal fans ......2 maybe 3 trips!!!! I would suggest you/they assume only 1 trip as it is not a nailed on that we will get to either final. In my nearly 60 years of a Saints fan, only a few times have i had the pleasure of visiting Wembley as a Saints fan
  12. I feel that had Ross been fit all season and we had Peretz all season youd be correct but to be fair to Still he didnt have that luxury.
  13. I would have thought it will be difficult to get tickets, i know that we are playing City and so that will put some off, but if the play off final is anything to go by tickets could well be in high demand
  14. the world situation has changed things a lot Id have thought. I expect large security and checks at Wembley
  15. Players are paid too much, period
  16. Surely Charles is worth more than 20m, we got 35m for Dibling FFS
  17. I wonder if the club should open the half season ticket again, even at a reduced amount, surely that will draw a lot of sales as it is a guarantee for a wembley ticket, plus it will mean higher attendances to lift the atmosphere. It will also bring in money
  18. I note that Dragan is charging 5.5% interest. In reality getting promotion to the PL was not quite the land of milk and honey as the wage bill increases dramatically. If we happen to go up I assume we wont be able to spend big to try and stay up?
  19. Unfirtunate that the scarf shows AFC lol. Welcome back
  20. I really dislike him, he did nt have the balls to face the cameras after losing to Iceland, just resigned, cowardly. Hes not as nice as people make out IMO
  21. No jury needed, he s a stop gap until the end of the season, to give back up for Ross. So far he has contributedwell and if he keepsthat going then he has beena major success
  22. Must have been Greaves who won the penalty
  23. Ive just posted the same, I hadnt realised youd beaten me to it. Stood in with the WHU fans as 10 year old and cheered like mad but they were good as gold, I never felt threatened but I was a kid. Im fairly certain it was Jimmy Greaves with the dodgy pen but I have been wrong in the past lol
  24. Tommy Jenkins away at WHU circa 1969/70?, he went on an amazing dribble and beat 5 or 6 players before slotting it home. Jimmy Greaves scored an equalizer with a penalty.
  25. Colour is nothing like the proper ones, a lot brighter
