  1. Is this fact? I dont see why they would make it permanent when they canleave him as it is and see how it pans out. If it goes wrong we lose him from guiding the under 21's and also have to pay him off. Makes you feel that GON really was to be their choice, and shows how little they really know about the culture of our fanbase to even have him in the running, let alone how poor a manager he is
  2. But the club do not need to appoint him, they can leave him as he is in a suck it and see situation. The appointment is massive and listening to Simon Peach earlier today on Solent sport it seems the players didnt like WS blunt observations and perhaps we have a bit of a toxic squad (no real surprise as Juric got a similar response) As I have stated before there is a poor gene pool to choose from so whoever we go for it is hardly going to have a united club behind the decision
  3. We dont need to appoint Eckhart, we just leave him as he is until he either messes up or becomes the best thing since sliced bread. This gives the club a bit of time. I get that we cnt lose more games in the next 3 but whoever we appoint may not fire us up straight away.
  4. Always a balanced poster, always sad to lose a Saint. RIP
  5. Im not keen to leave it to him, but as yet I have not seen many decent options.
  6. Lets panic and get anybody
  7. I dont know why people are getting upset with my post, rushing out to get someone who may not be right just to get someone is a madness the club has done before. I would like to get a new man in but as I put, the gene pool is pretty poor. Who really inspires in the list we see? If it was true (I doubt) that they were going for O'Neill it doesnt give me any confidence they will get anybody decent. I also have litle faith in Eckhart as he took the gamble of Baz ( that nearly cost us dearly) and throwing kids on at important times in a game. So we in a rock or hardplace situation. Leaving Eckhart for 2 more games is hardly a massive risk and if he happened to get 2 more favourable results whats the problem, no new manager is likely to do much better unless it is somebody really inspiring. As for the financial situation, we will be in the mire whoever as we are not going to make the top 2 unless we have a miracle and I dont trust us to get through the playoffs unless we do make a couple of good transfers.
  8. May as well leave Eckhart as interim for a few more games, hes hardly going to be poached if he does well, and if it deteriorates then push on elsewhere. The gene pool is not that great of who is around and so while the squad seem to be happy and we carry on doing ok, I dont see why not keep it as it is. Of ocurse if there is somebody who really fits the bill then do it now.
  9. I thought Manning did ok, his cut back for the first goal was superb. He also got stuck in a couple of tackles
  10. Childs cancer charity
  11. I glanced past a snippet online saying that Rodgers would be interested, if so that would be immense
  12. Either the Celebs were thick (eg Garraway, Beaumont) or the show was so editied that the celebs didnt focus in on the glaring errors. It was easy viewing but the tasks are annoying , so i videoed to skip through. The celebs thinking there were exposives on the train!!! lol. Couldnt believe that Nick changed his mind at the last second! Brilliant charity that Alan Carr got the money for so alls good
  13. I doubt that its 50% less. Although very difficult to guage as not many like for like jobs. Im not against the rank and file but the bloated management structure.
  14. IMO he plays turgid football, and also the club cannot afford to alienate the fanbase anymore. You may accept him being an ex Skate but the majoity would not.
  15. Im against this. Firstly he plays turgid football, also SR cannot risk annoying the fanbase further by having a exSkate as manager. The fans will be anti from the off and the first time it goes wrong they will be on the owners/managers back. You only have to look at Cooper at Leicester after being at Forest. If he was a topmanager then I expect fans would swallow it but not an average talent when there are many others as good if not better out there. Imagine the constant agent O'neill stuff
  16. is it 6 or 8 weeks in the summer ? then 6 weeks before another week or 2. There is no real need for this as my understanding is that the long vacations were for historic reasons eg when the kids helped with the harvest. Please dont come back saying about stress etc as most modern jobs have untold stress.
  17. If the club want the number of Wengers main man for this, who helped their squad become seril winners Ive got it
  18. I suspect we know the answer. Good luck if it is the case, but no reason not to really look intothe future awards
  19. Yes I do go off on tangents, but I have so much in my head going around and this all is linked to the general waste. Iam comfortable paying 2p more in tax, as long as soon as I start paying it I dont see doctors, teachers and other public workers getting bigger salaries. Im sure as soon as there is more money there, their Unions will think 'lets fill our boots' as the NHS and Education the MP's are frightened to bring it to the table, as it is a vote loser
  20. I feel he is the best MP that Labour has got
  21. Im sure, but I beieve many outside of being a teacher fret at them having untold weeks off and when they go back to work there always seems to be a teacher training day, normally on a monday for a long weekend. Training should be in the school holidays
  22. Of course, but the cost needs to be addressed. Billions extra is being poured into the NHS, has it improved? No, the budgets get biger and the need for really making it efficient is looked over. Even people in the NHS admit to the massive waste. I want the NHS to be good for us all but constant putting money in isnt the answer.
  23. Its a difficult subject, as soon as you say teacher or nurse people get all precious. As i say Im not so concerned bout those at the lower levels but the management structure where it seems to be very much over done
  24. Its not jealousy, it is common sense. Workers in the private sector are paying for lavish pensions and early retirement, Im not talking about pensios for the lower earners but the higher echelons
  25. I agree, for the first ime he actually got involved a tad. He won hearers at both ends of thee pitch and did try to be more forceful. I hope its a sign of better things
