I dont know how old you are but football nearly died in the late 70's early 80's due to crowd violence in and around the stadia. Now famillies can go with young kids and be 99% sure they will be safe, Im myself am going with my daughter and grand daughter, if there was liberal rules I doubt I would take them (even though I couldnt stop them as they are hardenedcommitted fans ) If you really believe that you can trust fans with such rivalry to mix and not have large disturbances, Iam amazed. Yes all the Pompey fans I know are sound as aa pound and you can have good banter, but when the game comes its bitter.

I have just been listening to Total Saints Podcast, and listening to our own Steve grant (forgive if I've got this wrong) that he feels that the fans shouldnt be segregated as in a bubble. IMo that would be insane, after the Stoke game quite a few Stoke fans were itching for trouble as they mixed with our fans walkingaway from the ground, imagine if that was Pompey,it would be bedlam as both sets of fans would be up for it. Stokebrought half s many os Pompeys 2700. Crikey the last home game against them was bad enough with the Car showroom and our fans trying to get at them. To methe tougher the segregation is the better, I dont want to see fans of either side being bloodied.

Perhaps but we have created chances. Is a 4 more solid, we just dont seem to work out how to get clean sheets. I doubt any of us expect Pompey not to score. Its a sad state. Personally I think Wood should play as he has the physical presence to combat their C/F

Should we change when the players are used to a 5 at present. A massive game to change formation, a formation that has created a shed load of chances
-
It is a massive day for Baz, if he makes a mistake he will never shake off the 'agent' tag and the fans wont forgive him. This adds to the massive pressure he will be under. I wonder if it would be prudent to play AM

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Mandleson should be stripped of all his honours. 'Yum Yum' ffs. It makes the skin crawl, always seemed to me a creep of the highest order. -
I was so naive,I never thought that there would be so many there that night. I went along thinking it would like any other testimonial where only the hardcore would turn up, but not realising what the FA cup win had done to the excitement and of course it was Mick Channons. I think Im right that Bobby Stokes was awarded a car on the pitch that day, he couldnt drive lol

That is a surprise, but I will accept you are correct. Those games in the late 60's and early 70's when the London clubs came to town!!
-
Yep I was there with my brother , only 8. It was like sardines and the crush when the fans went forward, all standing those days. I was in the Archers right at the front wall. Amazing really that there wasnt a Hillsborough as the health and safety was pretty poor. Hold your breath until the crush eased.

Just messaged Jason and he sent a voice note 'Get them them in and Ill make sure they are fully wound up toface the s'''''y Skate '''''''s' Obviously not to cause trouble but to make sure we are buzzing
-
No sadly not as Im going with wife daughter and grand daughter. Taking the wife for protection 😀 Id love to go though as the atmosphere will be electric and Jason McCarthy knows how to get things going, he knows about disliking the Skates

The Painted Wagon is open pre match

I thought he was banned? When are theclub actually going to follow through with this. Im sure if a Saints fan urinated on the seats in fullview there is no way they would ever escape the ban. Sends the wrong signal
-
I think there is also a similar scheme near Borough market, really impressive use of the structure
-
Yet again not getting in a decent experienced big front man will cost us. I still cant fathom why we areso blindsided by this. Ross may come good but I think its too much for Downs to do quite yet. Aribo perhaps in desperate times.

Stills lives as probably my best day watching Saints, inc Cup final 1976

Not having the coms keep saying Bellingham is like a Rolls Royce was good. Thought Tino was a bit ineffective but generally the team did really well and enjoyed the flair and flow of the team. I wonder if Jude is a bad influence and may not be missed
-
Long term planning perhaps, as the population grows there may be more call, I remember the naysayers when we were leaving the Dell that it would be too big. A few years managing to stay up would help, if the goons who bought the club had not truly messed up the first season and we had stayed up, the following seasons we would have been comfortable in the PL
-
I thought that there was a suggestion last season that if we sold a certain amount of season tickets the club would look to increase the capacity? Obviously that was before relegation!!!
-
I asked my wife who knows everything about anything, and she said we failed to get a big muscular striker, our kit looks nice, and why didnt I put the shelf up she asked me to...ohhh and we will finish top 6
-
Brave or stupid of him!! I doubt many of ours would go kitted up to pubs in Pompey.I assume he had some of his mates with him

Tell them Flynn Downes cooked you dinner on Saturday night, and so too ill to turn up. That will get your boy out of it as well
