  1. Wonderful thank you. His goalscoring record was something in that promotion run. Being there at Orient was some night, old Fred Dineage having to go through a torrid time as he had to walk past the Saints fans to climb onto the gantry lol. A wall collapsed at full time and luckily no major injuries ( my brother in the crush) as fans rushed to get on the pitch
  2. Funnily enough I was thinking about Tony Funnels contribution when we went up in 78. I also wondered what happened to him as he never quite made it.
  3. SHould have been TD but thats what happens when you rush as other things going on

Personally I wouldnt play him as TD may not do himself justice or get injured. No doubt the Ipswich players may target him so that he cant be sold to strengthen us this season.
  5. 'For the time being' is the point, means they will be back
  6. The private jet that was waiting at Southampton airport ready to fly to Liverpool for TD seems to have an engine problem as it never seemed to go lol
  7. I feel really sorry for him, he is a broken man
  8. I agree about BBD, that one incident at Newcastle and the stick he got from media and their fans has been torrid. Notice the media etc never mentioned Cucarella's pathetic reaction to a hair pull.
  9. Absolutely awful game and Sky feed so annoying that it kept stopping. Sugugawa couldnt pass wind, Downs is a project but should have scored. Generally poor. Frazer pepped things a bit as showed energy. No player showed he wanted to be staarting a game. Yet again from a set piece a player have a free header, that is worrying
  10. Harsh, he seems a very friendly poster, let him be.
  11. Ive watched the last 15 minutes a few times (so sad) and noticed Ross Stewarts influence, winning the ball in the air andhis strength. Hopeful he can get a run of games
  12. I think that's fair, you know he has all the cards he just has to make up the difference 😀
  13. Yes I heard that, I assume it was the poster on here who adores him
  14. Its not aimed at you tobe fair, its for people who attend I assume
  15. The bars and cafes look busy and the vendors seem to be happy. Iam not sure about the play centre but if the area is redundant and can be used and make a bit of money then fine. The amount of kids at games now, I can see parents taking them in. Time will tell of course
  16. I dont feel I was a happy clappy, even the Samaritans put the phone down on me when I called about it
  17. I feel that at least the club are trying new things, although health and safety and the ambulance chasing lawyers are going to love those low girder supports

I think its a bot unfair on Tyller, whilst WS said his mind is not in the right place, he still may be our player and its to our interest that he feels wanted by the fans. If he comes back into th team and the fans get on his back perhaps his performances will be poor and the club would have lost millions of value. Personally I thought 35-40 mil plus add ons would have been very good, but the club have played hard ball and time will tell if we will regret it
  19. After the event!! Its every game. I totally agree about my endorsement, it means nothing but the comments of some buffoons does make me laugh. Keep posting
  20. I think 3 seasons of success gave them hope and enthusiasm, we had come off the worst season and relegated and so our support on the day was 'here we go again' but once we were given somethingthe Northam and the rest of the ground was awesome
  21. His rant after the first game has not gone down well with the experienced players apparently. I never really took to him and let my guard drop after the wonderful day at Wembley and post match but that lasted not too long into the season as I had hoped he would turn things, but his inability to be pragmatic just turned me
  22. The queue to get in the club shop before the game was long and just as long post match. I assume shirts were selling well
  23. The knee jerk reaction, and absolute nonsense sometimes thats spouted is so mad its amusing. There are some posters I respect for their run down or judgement others are clearly unhinged/entitled.
  24. the match thread never fails to amuse.
  25. Perhaps if you went to the game you may well have been able to whip us up. Im reading the match thread and its interesting to see how few on here actually go to the game.
