This meant that well run clubs had trouble getting credit as firms were wary of suppling them only to be bad debts. Now administration is a last resort and suppliers know that they are more likely to be paid and so will supply thm.

Exit, Liverpool are the prime example how it could have worked. but you mentioned the s/ts from under RL that made a difference to the first season down. As you rightly say the early birders are manily the hardcore fans and so the attendances dropping rather than rising when your new lot arrived does not show the common feeling that RL was the reason for attendances dropping. As for your last comment I assume you are beling flippant. If Saints had kept the tickets at the PL price i expect Id still go like a lot of others,it would hurt but Im a victim of being a Saints fan.Giving me and others like me a good discount is not business sense or does your accounting not go to that. Of course a takeover and change of chairman is different, but it is better than the change of ownership ie being in the banks/administrators hands. The new people may be extending debt, we dont know, but if they are I doubt they have a chance of getting the money at this stage, against a business that will lose money for a long time still.
