He’s not. One of the reasons we’ve conceded so many goals over the last couple of seasons has been the lack of protection offered by the defensive midfield. It’s more that we can sell him though. He’s probably one of the most valuable players at the club and realistically we have 3 possibly 4 players that can play in the slightly more advanced role of the two midfielders (Hojbjerg, JWP, Slattery possibly Armstrong). Money can then be spent on a new centre half/right wing back/defensive midfielder as we’re clearly struggling to clear a lot of the other deadwood. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Unpopular opinion this apparently, but since Hasenhuttl arrived I think Targett has actually performed better than Bertrand. Bertrand hasn’t looked bothered for a couple of years now and doesn’t look up to the rigours of Hasenhuttl football so sell while we can and use the money elsewhere. A consistent run of games would be good for Targett (look what it did for Valery) and if it’s not working bring in Vokins who looks a real talent. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

100% this on Romeu, lovely guy but one of the reasons we conceded so many was the defence having no protection as he was run passed so easily.
