NickG Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 "Our source within the club states that it will be completed today - with Pinnacle group announced as in control from this afternoon. MLT will be chairman. KK still very much up in the air and may not happen." This is not from anyone I Know, but report on Radio Solent.
Ashby Saint Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 kk may take time according to The Sun as he still has to work out compensation with Newcastle.

northam soul Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 Richard Dunstone Stewart Radcliffe Webber Branson come on down, the time has come to make this club great again. How is it you can feel so good about starting league one with -10 points. I hope they do bring in Keegan as manager, from a commercial and feel good aspect he would be second to none. chrisobee Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 Sounds about what one would expect, at least if the takeover is confirmed and Le Tiss as Chairman that in itself will be a great leap forward. I would reckon with Le Tiss on board we are far more likely to get a top rate manager even if it's not Keegan. He's obviously very highly regarded throughout the game and even if it is not KK we get as manager I'm pretty sure we'll not be disappointed when we finally do appoint someone. I am excited about what today might bring :-) According to that MLT as chairman is good news which it clearly is but the bad news is he might bring in KK. Well that's clearly a matter of opinion and not one I agree with.
thorpie the sinner Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 I have to say, completion is the only essential news we need today!! An interview with Tony and our new legendary chairman will cap off a great day!!! The managers position will be sorted soon after I imagine. Wotte is still legally contracted to club til july 1st after all!
SFC Forever Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 I don't know who is more excited, me or my 5 nearly 6 yo son. He is really excited and looking forward to the new season. I am still afraid that this season will start slowly. More so as we have to start rebuilding after everyone else.

chrisobee Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 Clearly it will take time to rebuild from the shambles created over the past few years. From my own perspective and not having lived in Southampton since 1980 I've almost been able to let what has gone on wash over my head though that is also due in part to the fact that my enthusiasm for football in general has waned over recent years. Indeed it is quite probable that if Saints did not exist my interest would be confined to England and Euro/World Cup matches. However, the true nature of any fan is that it is impossible to simply let go of something you cherish and so despite the pain of recent years I still love the Saints, still wear my Saints T shirt etc; The hope is your faith will eventually be rewarded and it finally is looking like it will.So I'm also excited, a feeling I have not had for a long time so roll on the new season i say !! suewhistle Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 I second Chrisobee above, except that I still play but take a similar take it or leave it approach to watching. I certainly can't get interested in any Italian team. But I should be there for Millwall with renewed optimism, and let's hope there's a few others come out of the woodwork for that first game, as a nearly full house would be such a boost to everybody. brightspark Posted 19 June, 2009 Share Posted 19 June, 2009 I wonder if MLT will keep the picture of the Train! Before it is destroyed (and filmed to put on youtube), the picture should be copied, blown up to a super large size, and then when we run out against Millwall - break through the picture to signify the end of the Lowe reign.
