I dont know why Pards doesnt rate him, I mean he can cross which we have missed for so long.. give him a chance I say

AP has probably the same opinion of him as WGS had of the Tin Man. He's always injured, never available for selection and therefore no good to him. If and it's a big if, Holmes ever gets himself properly fit, AP can then form an opinion on whether he is any good or not.

Have heard a strong rumour he has been fit for ages and been training with the kids. Not fancied by ap?

Anyone else heard anything on this?

Surely this is ********? Why would the official site report it as injury? If Gillet being reported as injured, or is he just left out the team like every other out of favour player. What purpose would making up injuries serve?

Of all the loony rumours I have heard, the club making up injuries for players that are out of favour is right up there.

I'm looking forward to his return as whilst he has been on the sidelines he has reached cult legendary status regarding his ability! On a more serious note it goes without saying we are crying out for width in the team so let's hope he gets a chance to underline his 'forum' potential sooner rather than later :)

He was very good for Walsall in this league a few years back, I think if you keep him for then he'll be a decent player to have. I see on the OS he's looking forward to playing 1st team football, also Pardew saying he needs a few more reserve games to gain full fitness.

I understand he is rated highly.

By whom? Loads on here but the rest of us who blinked and missed the massive impact he made last season, are yet to be convinced. I hope he proves to be the hero/saviour he is being portrayed but until he manages to play more than a handful of games, I will reserve judgement thanks!

Last season he looked very good in early season games with some of the best delivery into the box I have seen in a long time.

I was then sat opposite him (yes in a QPR box) when he was taken out at knee hieght in what I thought could be a leg breaker. It was horrific - how the bloke was not sent off I do not know. A fecking scandal.

It's no surprise he has been out almost since.

I say get him back in and let him cross for Lambert to score 20 goals on the bounce. He's only 22 and with a few games behind him will give us, in my opinion, all the width we need.
