Saint_clark Posted 28 October, 2009 Share Posted 28 October, 2009 http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1839880,00.html All ticket proceed from the "armed forces" tickets at the Brighton game going to Help for Heroes. At the same game it will be All Saints Day, where there will be a minutes silence for all Saints players and fans who passed away in the last year. I'm sure I won't be the only one thinking of Chris Davies most prominently.

Bromley Saint Posted 28 October, 2009 Share Posted 28 October, 2009 Maybe the Club could share the proceeds between Help for Heroes and the Poppy Appeal?
SoccerMom Posted 28 October, 2009 Share Posted 28 October, 2009 I find this a bit baffling. If I read this correctly, only the proceeds from tickets sold to serving armed forces personnel will be going to HfH. That seems wrong-headed to me!! Weston Saint Posted 28 October, 2009 Share Posted 28 October, 2009 Help for Heroes (H4H) was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry after a profoundly moving visit to Selly Oak Hospital in the summer of 2007. Bryn and Emma met some extraordinarily brave young people who had been badly wounded and they just wanted to do something to help. The charity was launched in October 2007 Help for Heroes is strictly non-political. They have no affiliation with any political party and do not endorse the use of their name for the promotion of any political viewpoint. The money that they raise at Help for Heroes is used to support wounded Servicemen and women of every colour and creed and they strongly oppose any individual or political party who believes otherwise, and those who seek to use the charity’s name for their own political gain So far the charity has raised over £30m and spent over £23m of that on: Army Recovery Centres 10,000,000 Not Forgotten Association 60,000 Deptherapy 4,400 British Limbless Ex Service Men’s Association (BLESMA) 100,000 Erskine Hospital 750,000 Skill Force 224,300 Troop Aid 50,000 Battle Back 308,000 Combat Stress 3,500,000 Selly Oak Patients Welfare Fund 10,000 Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) 520,000 DMRC Headley Court 8,000,000 Here is a link if you want to know more or support this very worthy cause: http://www.helpforheroes.org.uk/
