.comsaint Posted 29 December, 2009 Share Posted 29 December, 2009 With some very important matches coming up in the next few weeks - I notice that several of our (more) important players are walking a fine line as regards yellow cards. According to the OS - Dan Harding, Radhi Jaidi, Dean Hammond, Morgan Spiderman & Lloyd James all have four yellow cards to their name. Luckily - none of them picked up a yellow yesterday at Colchester - but it is a slight worry that so many of our 'key' performers are just one yellow away from a ban. No doubt Pards is well aware of it all...

The full rules are in Section 8 Punishments (page 10 of 97) http://www.thefa.com/TheFA/RulesandRegulations/~/media/Files/PDF/TheFA/FA%20Handbook%2009%2010/Disciplinary_Procedures_pg%20305-401.ashx/Disciplinary_Procedures_pg%20305-401.pdf

Kevtherev Posted 30 December, 2009 Share Posted 30 December, 2009 So we can conclude having read this they would not get a ban as they had four bookings but only get a warning if they reach Ten Yellows, as it is only those who have already reached five bookings who get a two match ban for having ten? If I read it correctly?

If I read it correctly? It's not clear is it? I think that they still get a two-match ban at 10 bookings before the second Sunday in April. It depends what counts as 'disciplinary action'. I think that they will receive a warning letter when they reach 5 and then a 2-match ban at 10 before April 11th 2010.
trousers Posted 30 December, 2009 Share Posted 30 December, 2009 So, the FA have a rule that allows players to break the rules more often in the second half of the season than the first? Unless I've read it wrong (first time for everything)
