St Landrew Posted 5 January, 2010 Share Posted 5 January, 2010 (edited) It's as if decisions don't mean anything anymore. Why punish anybody, if all that happens is that they get to overturn the ruling..? Personally, I believe this one should have stood. Nobody should be allowed to get away with cheating. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/motorsport/formula_one/8440675.stm Edited 5 January, 2010 by St Landrew
Saint in Paradise Posted 6 January, 2010 Share Posted 6 January, 2010 What team in any branch of motorsport would dare employ these two in the future ?
Sheaf Saint Posted 6 January, 2010 Share Posted 6 January, 2010 Briatore's main defence seems to have been 'Moseley had it in for me... it's not fair!' This may or may not be true, but it is irrelevant because the original ruling was correct regardless IMO. He was guilty of cheating and bringing the sport into disrepute, therefore his ban should have stood. Can the FIA now appeal against the appeal ruling? And if they can, will they bother? JackFrost Posted 6 January, 2010 Share Posted 6 January, 2010 (edited) On SSN I believe they said that the FIA were still saying that his lifetime ban still stood  EDIT: Apparently a French court overturned the ban but the FIA say that this decision is not enforceable Edited 6 January, 2010 by JackFrost

JackFrost Posted 6 January, 2010 Share Posted 6 January, 2010 Briatore's ban won't be lifted until the FIA have exhausted all their options of appealing.
