stu0x Posted 3 November, 2010 Share Posted 3 November, 2010 Does anyone know if the club has anything like regular open training sessions? Basically I'm very keen to get a shirt signed by (some of) the squad for someone as a birthday present, but don't really know the best way to go about it. And I live a good few hours away, so whilst I'm more than willing to make the trip I don't really want to do it speculatively. Any advice gratefully received. eharty9 Posted 3 November, 2010 Share Posted 3 November, 2010 you might find it easier to go to a home game very early and catch the players on the way from their car into the ground!
bowers-sfc Posted 4 November, 2010 Share Posted 4 November, 2010 If you arrived about half 12, you would get them all.
Saint_clark Posted 4 November, 2010 Share Posted 4 November, 2010 Send it into the club with a letter and a return address. I did this a few years back and the entire squad signed it.

Quite a leap of faith. Hopefully the new regime would honour it.

SO16_Saint Posted 4 November, 2010 Share Posted 4 November, 2010 Send it into the club with a letter and a return address. I did this a few years back and the entire squad signed it. I have just arranged hospitality for the away match at Peterborough, and it's my dads 60th this year and him being a Posh fan, I asked them to sign a shirt for me and they did it no problem and returned the shirt the same week. Hopefully Saints would be as helpful...
georgeweahscousin Posted 4 November, 2010 Share Posted 4 November, 2010 I was involved in a charity fundraiser a few years back. If you phone somebody at the club, give them your details then send the shirt in with a return address, they will happily get the squad to sign it. We found this was the case for all league clubs except:- Manyoo, Liverpool, Arsenal and Spurs who refused to do anything. Smaller clubs like:- Blackburn, Rotherham, Accrington Stanley insisted on providing the shirts free of charge. There is something seriously wrong with that. Dimond Geezer Posted 4 November, 2010 Share Posted 4 November, 2010 Last season me & the nippers hung around by the players entrance after a match to get autographs. The players start to leave about 45 minutes after the end of a match, and are happy to sign autographs. The only one we didn't get was RL. We even managed to get John Motsons who was watching the match.

I'll get in contact with someone at the club (I assume David Luker would be a good bet?) and see if they can help out, and if not I'll hot foot it to the next home game.
