doddisalegend Posted 16 June, 2011 Share Posted 16 June, 2011 Intersting article here would this work at saints as a player motivator? http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13775725.stm
The9 Posted 16 June, 2011 Share Posted 16 June, 2011 Surely it's just the same paying players bonuses to win or draw ? It's just a slightly different way of approaching it. I guess the argument is whether it's more effective motivation with an incentive to work to get extra money, or to avoid the punishment of losing some. In theory the only difference is if you regard the money paid after a defeat as your base pay rate, or whether you regard the money after a win as your base pay rate and how that affects your motivation. Saint-Armstrong Posted 16 June, 2011 Share Posted 16 June, 2011 We needn't worry. We have a group of hard-working, committed, honest players. They're striving to achieve the same common goal. Let's not break the spirit.
mcjwills Posted 16 June, 2011 Share Posted 16 June, 2011 I think we ought to have 4 Bren guns set up, one in each corner and if the players are not motivated enough a quick burst of fire around their feet, ought to get them moving.
1976_Child Posted 16 June, 2011 Share Posted 16 June, 2011 Upon arrival to SMS for the game the players should each deposit their first-born into a 'motivational creche'. If they are caught slacking then Herod goes into the creche and does his thang. That should do the trick.
