benjii Posted 10 August, 2008 Share Posted 10 August, 2008 Free bus from the Walkabout to the away end turnstile, accompanied by meat wagon ensuring we ran all the red lights. Thanks very much Glamorgan OB... stopped us getting soaked again as we were just drying off and meant we didn't have to walk the streets with our complex-bearing little friends form the Principality. This should be done at more matches IMO!

Yes it was a nice surprise, not sure why they did take us back to the station by bus as well after the game we got drenched.

Broadwater Saint Posted 10 August, 2008 Share Posted 10 August, 2008 Great idea as I wouldnt have had a chance in hell of finding it otherwise, probably should have laid a return one on after though. Still even walking, got back just in time for the 1730 cattle train home, now that was a joke.
Dan Posted 11 August, 2008 Share Posted 11 August, 2008 Heard about this. Even though some people were forced to get on the buses at half 1 and if they didnt they would be nicked or taken back to the station.
Michelle Posted 11 August, 2008 Share Posted 11 August, 2008 Jammy gits. Saying that, I got a taxi from town to The Lansdowne, then walked the rest of the way. And then walked all the way back to town afterwards too.

The first one seemed to be for a, ahem, "select" clientele.
lee_saint Posted 12 August, 2008 Share Posted 12 August, 2008 Was on one of the buses as well, was a sensible idea. Very different to last year when I got lost in the back streets of Cardiff....in the fecking rain.

Mr saint Posted 26 April, 2009 Share Posted 26 April, 2009 I like this thread. If we just pretend nothings happened since the Cardiff match we might just feel more happy all summer. How do people think our match against Exeter will go? Well done for bumping.
benjii Posted 26 April, 2009 Author Share Posted 26 April, 2009 I love my Fred. At half-time in the Cardiff match I sent a text to some of my mates who hadn't gone.... it said something like "We're actually playing really well. Certainly deserve something. If the youngsters can maintain this we'll be fine this season" GO me! In fairness, I had assumed that we would get better as the players adapted to competitive league footy. I also assumed the manager would have the nouse to change things if needed. Sadly I was wrong. Still, was a good day. Looking forward to some of the aways next year.
