ANyone replaced an existing aerial with a shark fin aerial?

Bought a new (second hand) car yesterday, but it has no aerial attached - so rather than buying a standard one was thinking of replacing it with a shark fin one.

Anyone know whether this process is easy?

Fair play, would be interested to see how you get on with it, particularly as it's the petrol model.

will let you know in a month or so.

So far, 1 day, it's going great guns. Runs very well (youd expect no less, it's 2 years old!). The insurance is cheap - £200 fully comp, and tax is cheap - £215 for the year - that's less than the Beetle we had previously - for both tax and ins.

only thing is it had no dust caps or aerial - so using ebay for both - and hope to fit aerial over the weekend. Still have signal, but not great.

The 6 gears should make it economical, i'd have thought?

The boot is MASSIVE - or a lot bigger than we're used to, anyhow (Beetle and Suzuki SX4).
