Bailey Posted 23 November, 2008 Share Posted 23 November, 2008 Lallana very much wants to stay at Saints this season. If we do lose him, it will be down the the financial situation we find ourselves in. Great shame really but fingers crossed we can keep hold of him. It looks increasingly unlikely however. um pahars Posted 23 November, 2008 Share Posted 23 November, 2008 I think the lad has talent in abundance, and if being totally honest, his style of play would be better suited to a higher division (although then again, it might not be a bad idea for him to continue plying his trade with us). Given that the "bigger" clubs have money to burn and can afford a gamble (and conversely we're desperate for cash!!!), I think it will be a struggle to hold on to him. Of course, he may not been overly keen on going (and could always dig his heels in) but I fear those in charge will be desperate to cash in on him some time in 2009. paulwantsapint Posted 23 November, 2008 Share Posted 23 November, 2008 If AL does get sold would be no suprise if Rupert demands instant loan back till summer & 1st refusal on loan next season as well
Ponty Posted 23 November, 2008 Share Posted 23 November, 2008 The only upside is the almost certainty that Lowe will screw the best deal possible out of any potential buyers. It's one of the few things he can have credit for AFAIAC.
