Morning all :toppa:

We've been invited to play against West Brom's supporters team on the morning before the PL game at the Hawthorns on Saturday 17th August.

It'll be 11-a-side, 90 minutes, probably a 10:30 or 11:00 kick-off somewhere in the West Bromwich area.

If you've seen us play before, you'll know there's not really much of a requirement for any decent playing standard  but depending on numbers you'll probably need a moderate level of fitness.

Full (striped!) kit is provided, so you would only need boots and shinpads.

If anybody is interested in playing, please let me know asap

Oh, and as an aside, here are some other dates with likely games:

19th October: Man United (away)

2nd November: Stoke (away)

9th November: Hull (home)

7th December: Man City (home)

11th January: West Brom (home)

8th February: Stoke (home)

22nd February: West Ham (away)

5th April: Man City (away)

10th May: Man United (home)

I'll need to double check with Mark whether or not he is coming' date=' but I'm definitely in as long as I can get a West Brom ticket when they go on general sale (should be ok but with it being the first away game of the season and the new signings on display you never know).[/quote']

I have ST numbers to get both of you a ticket on Wednesday

9 definites now, assuming Mark is in as well.

GK: Chris Summers

DF: Michael Hole, Matty Lee, Kev Thornton, Chris Bulpitt, Mike McIntyre

MF: Michael Fordham, Julian Ganley

FW: Steve Grant, Mark Keenan

Needless to say, we could do with bulking up with midfielders

  • 2 weeks later...

And then there were 12 :o

GK: Chris Summers

DF: Michael Hole, Matty Lee, Kev Thornton, Chris Bulpitt, Mike McIntyre

MF: Michael Fordham, Julian Ganley, Chris Knight, Stu Holloway

FW: Steve Grant, Mark Keenan

with Andy Porter still on the "maybe" list, depending on whether he's managed to get a ticket for the game in the afternoon.

Great effort from everyone today against a very good team who I was told train every week (and also had about 6 subs).

A 2-1 loss for Saints which (as losses go) was great reward for the sheer amount of effort and over the 90mins. My legs are in bits from the pressing, I have no idea how Schneiderlin does it as a professional every week against Premier League opposition.

Good to see everyone as well.
