Saint-Armstrong Posted 28 October, 2013 Share Posted 28 October, 2013 David Smith found dead at his home. Had been brought in as part of Yewtree and was expected to stand trial for sexual abuse of a 12 year old lad. Truth taken to the grave now, I'd imagine. Viking Warrior Posted 28 October, 2013 Share Posted 28 October, 2013 Seems he was nothing to do with the Saville case Mr Smith was investigated under the third strand, concerning accusations of sexual abuse unconnected to Savile but made by people who came forward following publicity surrounding the Savile allegations. Hedgehog Posted 29 October, 2013 Share Posted 29 October, 2013 Just went to the BBC news site, WTF: A previous attempt to track down Smith in 2002 had failed when police could not find him - even though he was in prison at the time.
buctootim Posted 29 October, 2013 Share Posted 29 October, 2013 22 convictions dating back to 1966. Just the sort of person you'd want as a BBC driver.
