norwaysaint Posted 5 June, 2014 Share Posted 5 June, 2014 It's easily forgotten that in their first season with us, Ramirez outperformed JRod, getting more goals and assists per game. The next season, JRod became a regular starter and came on in leaps and bounds, Gaston never got a run in the team. We can speculate as to why he didn't, but if we are to judge on actual performance in the team, he hasn't been bad and as said, when they both played, his stats were better than JRod. positivepete Posted 5 June, 2014 Share Posted 5 June, 2014 The other issue that Gaston has suffered with is that he has not yet had a full pre season at the club, first the Olympics, then the Confederations Cup, and now the World Cup.
