AndyD Posted 23 December, 2008 Share Posted 23 December, 2008 The team I feel would start to move us up the league if JP foolishly wished to persist with 4-5-1 is; Davis, James, Lancashire, Pearce, Skacel, Surman, Holmes, Lallana, Scheiderlin, Gillett, Robertson. However, if he wakes up and does 442 then simply replace Gillett (on bench) with BWP (as he can score - McG can'tat the mo!) That's gotta be better than the current poo????? What drop Euell, after the Mulder and Scully investigation that we had when he got dropped after being suspended? surely not.Jason Euell is god or so they told me a couple of weeks ago. That's the trouble with Saints, players are elevated to divine status whenever they're NOT playing, then they get a game and we all remember why they weren't playing in the first place. Bit harsh on gillett that, I thought he had a storming start to the season and then went off the boil a little before he was injured. Probably just needed a week or so out of the firing lines like all our kids could do with.

Hopkins Posted 23 December, 2008 Share Posted 23 December, 2008 If Robertson gets anywhere near the team ahead of our TOP GOALSCORER McGoldrick i'm going to cry.
ottery st mary Posted 23 December, 2008 Share Posted 23 December, 2008 If Robertson gets anywhere near the team ahead of our TOP GOALSCORER McGoldrick i'm going to cry. Exeter were asked if they wanted any of our strikers. They replied, yes, Saga, John or Rasiak. What about our kids, Robertson and Mighty Mac, they were asked, which Exeter replied, We have the same standard in our academy.
Hopkins Posted 23 December, 2008 Share Posted 23 December, 2008 I doubt Exeter were ever asked if they wanted Robertson seeing as he is not ours to sell, nor do I believe Exeter were ever and will ever be in a posistion to want Saga, John or Rasiak. Great reply though.

ahill Posted 23 December, 2008 Share Posted 23 December, 2008 I agree with nickh - Robertson offers nothing - why we have him and Peckhart on loan is a mystery to me.
Scudamore Posted 23 December, 2008 Share Posted 23 December, 2008 Shows how bad we are if you are advocating Gillett and Robertson would actually improve the team. Was thinking the same thing when people were calling for Bradley Wright-Phillips on Saturday! Reminds me of chanting "We want Walters" a few years back and then thinking - but Mark Walters is actually a bit sh:t...
Saint Matty 76 Posted 23 December, 2008 Share Posted 23 December, 2008 I don't think Robertson is that bad, always a lone striker, very difficult to do with 4 defenders around you, and when Robertson's playing up front with McGoldrick, McGoldrick is playing deep all the time and doesn't support Robertson.
