Saintandy666 Posted 25 January, 2015 Share Posted 25 January, 2015 Anyone been watching any of this? Murray just played an entertaining game against Dimitrov. Came through in 4 and well deserved to. Australian teenager Kyrgios up next!
Saintandy666 Posted 27 January, 2015 Author Share Posted 27 January, 2015 I'm going to continue this conversation with myself. And he's smashed past Kyrgios in straight sets, Murray looks back to his best. Looked a lot easier than Dimitrov. Confident he can beat Berdych (although he has proved a sticky point in the past at times) - not so sure about Djokovic. Don't think Nadal will figure this season, and maybe Federer seems *finally* on his way down.
SO16_Saint Posted 29 January, 2015 Share Posted 29 January, 2015 Murray was imperious today, coukd easilly have won in 3 Looking good for his first Aus open title
Saintandy666 Posted 29 January, 2015 Author Share Posted 29 January, 2015 Yep - the bits I caught he looked pretty impressive and comfortable. Djokovic-Wawrinka I just hope goes to 5 or something leaving Murray a bit fresher, but with how fit the players are these days, it seems to matter less and less. Murray will need to be at his best to win, but I hope he does, 3rd grand slam, and he'll have 3 out of 4 of the slams in the bag. With Nadal perhaps on the wain, maybe a career slam isn't out of the question?

Batman Posted 1 February, 2015 Share Posted 1 February, 2015 Djokovic wins first set on tie break but is looking tired as Murray immediately breaks his serve early in the 2nd set

Goatboy Posted 1 February, 2015 Share Posted 1 February, 2015 Couldn't give a monkey's about Murray. I sincerely hope that anyone other than him wins.
Batman Posted 1 February, 2015 Share Posted 1 February, 2015 Ah well? He lost. He is just that level below Djokovic Normally I would like Murray to win. But his support for the yes campaign has soured that for me
Saintandy666 Posted 1 February, 2015 Author Share Posted 1 February, 2015 Shame - Djokovic just that little better mentally today. Many more chances for Murray yet though. He seems to be getting back to his best after a tough last year.
Badger Posted 1 February, 2015 Share Posted 1 February, 2015 Ah well? He lost. He is just that level below Djokovic Normally I would like Murray to win. But his support for the yes campaign has soured that for me Had marginally warmed to Murray in the past year or so - perhaps the BBC 'campaign' of making him seem more human was working - but after his 'yes', b0ll0cks to him, he can take his support from north of their border. Although I don't think either he or his mother are likely to take permanent residence there any time soon and help their taxes support their 'country' ( they're happy to leave that to those south of the border). Well done Djokovic.
bridge too far Posted 1 February, 2015 Share Posted 1 February, 2015 Andy Murray lives in London so pays his taxes to the UK. Djokovic lives in Monte Carlo so any tax he pays doesn't go to Serbia I guess
