The comments from fans regarding Accrington Stanley seem to be similar to comments from our fans.

Should JP be sacked as results have not gone well so far or should he be given a chance to develop the team.

Perhaps Lawrie Mac should have been sacked in 1974 when we were relegated certainly if it had happened today Alpine and his sort would surely have been calling for his sacking.

Lets face it

Sturrock

Wigley

Redknapp

Burley never managed much with better players but the grass is always greener on the otherside

You cant compare our current situation with that of 1973 when LM took over. In those days the difference between 1st and 2nd division wasn't as vast as today. And the money certainly wasn't so much of an issue. If we continue to stick with Poortvliet we WILL be relegated, if we make a change NOW we may just have a change in fortune......but then again we may go down, so we have nothing to lose in sacking him, but everything to lose if he stays. He is clueless.

I know it's fashionable to say so just now, but our fate is by no means a certainty. If you want a dispassionate, independant, expert view, I would refer you to Ladbrokes.

The remainder of your post is similarly illogical.

Changng manager will only work if Lowe either leaves or admits his Head Coach/Rupes DOF idea will never work.

Having said that I think we stand little chance of staying up anyway, we have wasted what little resources we did have on crap signings and pointless loanies. Our one and only chance was to back Pearson to build a team, Lowe ****ed up that chance from day 1.

Did Lawrie have us second from bottom going into the new year back in '74?

I don't remember us being second from bottom under Sturrock or Burley. Indeed, I do remember Burley getting us into the play-offs. And you call that never managing any better than JP has this season? May I just remind you, Saints have OFFICIALLY suffered their worst first half of a season EVER!

But I'll tell you what, seeing as you want to compare JP and his Saints with Accrington Stanley...........

If we go on an unbeaten run between now and the ernd of the season and end up getting promoted on goal difference as a result I will fly over to the UK and take you out for the biggest slap up meal, with free booze all evening, to celebrate.

Now, if we stick with JP (as Lowe probably will do) will you treat me to the same in an effort to lesson the hurt of relegation should that occur?

JP, Wottey and Gorrey, are not up to it and never will be at this level.

If only The Director of Football, Lowey, had stood aside, when proving that once again he is NOT a football man (or a business man) Then at least, JP could have had half a chance to run the football team.. But NO, Lowey is in the changing room, running the team talk, out on the pitch, selecting transfer and loan targets and pi..ing all over The Football Chairman...What chance did JP ever have of being a CCC manager...NONE

Lowey go home and take your Lavender Hill Mob with you....AND PULIS.

Hey Jonny Boy,

I'll even give you today's result as a freebie (seeing as there was no way in month of Sundays we were ever going to get anything out of it).

Do you want to match my offer or not?
