5string Posted 25 August, 2017 Share Posted 25 August, 2017 Good news, he's been a model pro since he has arrived, and has improved for having a run of games in the side. As a "3rd" centre back he's as good as we can hope for, and I wouldn't be averse to seeing him as first choice alongside Hoedt, if that's how the VVD situation ends up. In a team full of young players he's a good older head to have around. Yup said what I wanted to say. He's a much better player than he was 15 months ago. Very pleased he's staying. The respect for him is recognised and truly deserved. The fact that it is being shown on here means that he has earned a place in the fans hearts.
