I think he made it home for Christmas.

Sad news. It’s tough to lose a loved one but more so just before Christmas.

The BBC gave the story prime spot and five minutes on the 6pm news tonight. With all due respect to Chris Rhea and his career, he was no Eric Clapton or Paul McCartney.

My dad's a big Chris Rea fan. So, I've heard quite a few of his albums over the years. And I've a soft spot for him through that. Sad news and our thoughts are with his family, friends and many fans.

TBH he is one of those people who I thought had died ages ago, RIP nonetheless.

It is slightly spooky how people who sung famous Christmas songs keep dying at Christmas time. Greg Lake - 7th December, John Lennon - 8th December, Kirsty MacColl - 18th December, George Michael - Xmas Day, Chris Rea - 22nd December.

You should probably have waited until after Christmas to accuse Santa of murdering pop stars. I guess no one is more sick of Christmas music than him. Still, it's the naughty list for you and no pressies.
