I saw it as a chance to have a bit of fun with. It’s amazing the range of questions you can answer with ‘Sport Republic Out’ and ‘employ a proper manager’.

Clearly the survey is intended to gather clever ideas on how to get people to spend more money on a matchday. I doubt they realise that getting proper football people to run the club and employing a proper football person to manage the team, would do just that. Pissing about in mid table in the Championship won’t have people dipping into their pockets that much.

And yet the attendances generally are always still 27k + despite the standing of the club. Something’s going right or have expectations fallen that much?

Have you heard of season ticket sales?

Those attendance figures won't change until the next time season tickets go on sale.

I suspect quite a few of those who chose to renew/buy season ticket sales this year may decide to save money next season.

Would be interesting to know how many tickets are actually scanned at the turnstile vs the numbers they publish. There have been huge gaps especially for the midweek games. Where I stand in the Northam it’s felt like there’s loads of space at the last few

Emailed to ST holders. Lots of questions around matchday habits (where you spend your money, and why not at the ground), what would persuade you to renew, whether you’d take up new ST perks like hospitality upgrades.

The answer to just about all of it for me is sort out the management structure and first team issues and cash flow will follow. Changing the beer again or quality of sausage rolls isn’t going to increase revenue if we’re performing terribly.

The actual attendances are quite a bit lower going by the number of empty seats.
