Where was the difficulty in understanding the announcer telling everyone clearly what to do ?

Was it shown on the large score boards? That might of helped

It was the wrong way around for the mentally challenged to understand.

If they had started with the minutes silence then had the bugle play The Last Post it would have probably gone off ok.

It also didn’t help that they whipped the crowd up with the band before hand either.

It was a bit of a weird atmosphere all round at SMS yesterday I thought.

At one.point I realised the shouting I could hear was from Peretz at the Chapel end, and I sit in the Kingsland/Northam corner. It was odd.

just my personal opinion, but I detest the minute silences. No problem with observing the Remembrance Day silence, but it's 2 bloody weeks away and will be observed nationwide. Apart from that specific day I get mildly irritated by silences at sporting occasions for former players, quite put out if it's for a departed fan and apoplectic when it's some worldwide event such as was forced upon EPL teams after the Hamas attack of Oct 7th a few years back.

Bradford, Liverpool and Man Utd have exceptional circumstances that warrant a minutes silence.

However should I unexpectedly pass in my prime, I expect the team to play in black for 6 weeks and behind closed doors for 2 games before allowing fans back into the stadium on the strict condition that they to wear black, abstain from drinking and remain respectfully silent, gentle sobbing allowed.

I think most fans who had 2 or 3 or more pints before getting to seat (which is a large number in Northam) thought it was a minutes silence during the last post. Can you imagine if beer was allowed at seat it would have been the 3rd or 5th pint spilling all over those trying to keep still and quiet.
