stevegrant Posted 5 March, 2009 Share Posted 5 March, 2009 Two new columns get their first airing today on the main site: Firstly, St Landrew introduces an in-depth breakdown of the Greatest Saints XI as voted for by SaintsWeb Forum members, which will feature profiles of all the players selected as well as touching on a few of the players who narrowly missed out in the polls. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/2009/03/05/saints-greatest-xi-introduction/ Incidentally, you can see all of the polls in the Golden Posts forum. Secondly, we have a new resident betting expert on-board who will be giving us a preview of every Saints game with all the odds and his own recommendations on where to place your money. http://www.saintsweb.co.uk/2009/03/05/odds-on-birmingham-city/ We will shortly also be making some slight changes to the layout of the forum. Some of the lesser-used forums will be merged into the main off-topic areas, and - by popular request - a dedicated betting forum will be created. We've also been investigating ways to improve things on matchdays, particularly in terms of the site's performance. To aid those who don't want to keep hammering away at that F5 key, we are installing a chat room that will be open on matchdays. You will need some sort of Flash player in your browser for this to work - if you don't have one, or simply don't want to use the chatroom, don't panic as the usual discussion threads will still be running on the forum. The intention is to merge the chatroom discussion into the forum discussion after the game, we'll try it for Saturday's game and see how it looks. The address for the chatroom will be posted on the forum on Saturday. Any comments, queries, etc, please let me know.
maxi_sopez Posted 5 March, 2009 Share Posted 5 March, 2009 sounds good, well done to all the admin, this is a great site and the fact that i look here for news about saints rather than the official site is testament to how good it is!

red&white4life Posted 6 March, 2009 Share Posted 6 March, 2009 Sorry Steve, not wanting to be "Mr negative" but is a betting forum such a good idea. Last time i looked this site was frequented by younger fans as well as adults and if we go along with a betting forum i cant help feeling the site is moving away from being a "family freindly" forum. All IMHO of course. Thanks to all Admins for their continued good work. And just becouse my opinion differs it doesn t mean i am not in full support of you and the work you all do. All the best. Col.
