PaulSaint Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 Like many of you today I am sat here worrying about what if's What if the two interested parties are just tire kickers? What if the recession is so bad that nobody else wamts to buy a football club? What if we die as a club before the last game even kicks off? I have come to the conclusion that we need a Plan B. That Plan B needs to be us fans waiting in the wings to buy the club from the Admins if no-one else comes in? We need a High-Profile Ex-Player to front it & start getting in the cash or pledges of cash, and we need it quick. I'm gonna call it "Fan B". What do you all think? :smt017
Saint Charlie Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 Lets support the administators and let them do their job. We can pack SMS, support the team, and ensure any potential investor knows we have a big fanbase who can fill our stadium. We have got rid of the cancer, lets unite for once. Topcat Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 That is what the Saints Trust is for. Unfortunately they are not up to the challenge as they mainly focused on places to drink beer on match days.....

PaulSaint Posted 2 April, 2009 Author Share Posted 2 April, 2009 What worries me though is that there wont be any "potential investors". Alternately we may have one that looks to be purchasing right up until the last hour & then pulls out. Surely having a second egg in the basket in case it all goes T*ts up is a sensible option? The newly formed "Supporters FC Group" makes it clear we want a proper buyer but if one doesnt come forward we want to take control to stop the club from going extinct? trousers Posted 2 April, 2009 Share Posted 2 April, 2009 How about Aviva repossess the stadium, effectively writing off most of our debt and take us over in the process. Ah, forgot they're in trouble too....doh

I really hate to be a dose of reality....but is it just me that thinks Lowe and Wilde will end up buying the club from the administrators for a knock down price and owning it 100%?
