Legod Third Coming Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 If there were investors there today, it will have come as no surprise to them to see a very poor football team and some pretty disgruntled fans. What you buy when you buy a failing football club is the potential to turn it around. So I think we can calm down with feeling that any fans will be at fault if a buyer is not found. They'd have to be rather dumb not to realise that we're rather sht on the footballing front, after all the table doesn't lie. Get that part right (and I accept it is a difficult task) then the potential is clearly there.

Agree about the fans, apart from maybe those kicking off in town after the match. As I said on another thread, its all about getting SMS on the cheap for me. From what I have understood, anyone buying SFC is really only buying the players contracts, and apart from Kelvin Davies and maybe a couple of others, they are f**king shiit. Huffton Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 What they will have noticed however, is a virtually full ground. Keep this up for the next couple of games and we should make a very attractive prospect.

They are buying the golden share that let's them enter a football club n the league and with it the potential to get that team in to the top flight. That's the only long term thing, players will come and go.

Won't happen sadly, would have done had we won today

What on earth would possess any of the 10,000-odd who went against their better judgement, recognised this time of the clubs need and turned up, to do so again after that performance ? If its clear the players gave 100% then I am prepared to accept losing any game but today we just didnt look up for it, you could say we bottled it
egreog Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 After that drivel today, I'd be surprised if more than half turn up for the next game! Pity the passion in the stands doesn't transfer to to losers on the pitch!
St Marco Posted 4 April, 2009 Share Posted 4 April, 2009 Great atmosphere today i felt. Some people on the official thread have said they felt it was pretty low or quiet... As for the trouble after the game, would hardly call that trouble. Was a nice sing a long. I recorded a bit, sorry not amazing quality but you can hear the passion

So after one defeat those that came out to show their passion and help out the club in its hour of need, aren't that bothered afterall about the club's future? Hopefully you've answered your own question. The club is in need, Rupert and Wilde are gone, were not mathematically down yet ( until tuesday at least).
