Guest Hacienda Posted 25 August, 2008 Share Posted 25 August, 2008 My missus is starting another degree course and will now require a laptop. It's only going to be used for surfing/word processing and databasing. Any recommendations for good deals out there in cyberworld?
Baj Posted 25 August, 2008 Share Posted 25 August, 2008 Yeah, can't go wrong with Novatechs laptop, had mine nearly 18 months and its been completely rock solid, and they are really cheap. Wife has one too as does Granty, never heard any complaints. http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/range.html?t=nb&c=home&r=E15

Although when I was asked to advise on several machines for a company I ended up recommending Dell, but Novatech were the only realistic alternative. Both companies get the balance of spec, quality and reliability just right. As it happens, even though the Dells have since been immersed in water [they had a flood] they still work perfectly, and are a relative pleasure to use. That's not bad going. magnet Posted 26 August, 2008 Share Posted 26 August, 2008 http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.200-5525.aspx 17" wide screen media laptop. Crap processor though. I'd go for the Fujitsu Siemens Amilo Li 2735 T5750 3GB 15.4" Laptop as it has a a Core 2 Duo T5750 processors and at £379 (tasco direct) bit of a bargin to.
