24 hour time out on this one, minus a solid page of posts there was absolutely no need for. Unless your name’s Brian and you’re being crucified, there’s no need to bring anyone’s wife into a thread about Israel.
  2. If Adams isn’t fit it’ll almost certainly be Mara in his place and, as much as I don’t rate the latter, that’s the obvious and correct decision. Stewart’s return needs to be managed steadily. Best case; I could see him playing the last half hour, or at a stretch the second half, at Wembley, should we make it.
  3. I quite like the City one. The sponsors logo doesn’t look like a piece of wrong coloured plastic which has been glued on at the last second like half of ours in the past. Also the space it’s one fits neatly into the stripes. Basically, look at Saints 2008-10 home shirt for everything I find dreadful about a football shirt. Edit: This year’s home kit is crap too. I said it’d just look half pink from any sort of distance and it does.
  4. I doubt he prioritises being slightly more popular with some random strangers on an internet message board over PL football and the chance of being in the squad for a major international tournament. I'm a Saints fan, I'd have done exactly the same thing and would expect a fairly decent reception if I ever came back.

It’s an emotive topic but there’s no need for personal digs about people’s private life.
  6. That makes no sense, it was all with West Ham and their squad, he wouldn’t have that here and even if he did it’s now in the past and they’re on a downwards trajectory. You could stick Pellegrino in charge of Man City, he’d probably finish about 7th and we could sit here and sarcastically so, “oooh 7th in the PL isn’t good enough, we’re too ambitious apparently!” For all the comments that we’d be harder to beat and more likely to stay up, Moyes has been on the wrong end of some absolute thumpings this season. 5-0 against Chelsea, 5-2 against Palace, 6-0 against Arsenal, 5-0 against Fulham, 5-1 against Liverpool, 4-1 against Villa.
  7. TBH, I’d say no. He’s a hit and miss manager and there’s nothing about him that makes me think he’d definitely take us to a level beyond RM. West Ham are looking a consecutive bottom half finishes the way their results are going which is a bit ‘meh’ really.
  8. One for the statisticians - have Man Utd ever finished a PL season on negative GD? Currently -3 on the live table.
  9. That being said, it wouldn’t be a bad idea to score a few.

If you consider my post to be a ‘rant’ and ‘having a pop’ then I can’t really say anything to that. I was offering an insight as to why SOG regularly gets laughed at on this thread and addressing his (IMO deliberate) misconception that people are laughing directly at dead children and not his posts. If anyone finds that abrasive I’m not sure what else to say.

The problem you have is that you are very persistently outraged by any act of injustice committed by only one side of this conflict. When Iran launched a massive drone and missile strike at Israel, it could have killed thousands of innocent Israel men, women and children. Such a slaughter was only prevented by their own iron dome defence. Your response to such an attack was complete silence, not one word of indignation. You are approaching self-parody levels of bias and umbrage. The equivalent of someone saying, "I’m not racist but look at all these examples of tax fraud and fly tipping committed by only black people!" That’s why you’re attracting laughing emojis.

If only they could learn to be more like Hamas and their liberal acceptance of pro-Israeli media channels.
  13. Lando Norris finally getting his first win and McLaren's first for three years.
  14. It seems they wrote ‘Professional Football Team’ on some of the paperwork and are being prosecuted under the trades descriptions act.
