The post I linked to from an Echo journalist stating what he was told by the club. A journalist that regularly gets info from the club. That is a big difference from many other journalists who do not get updates direct from the club and significantly more substantial than some of the random sources in the transfer thread. A rumour has an element of doubt to it, this is far more than that for the reasons I outlined. So warrants its own thread.

It is more than just a rumour. The club has confirmed their interest to the Echo.

It wouldn't impact Charles financially. His wages are paid by his employer (Saints) not the loan club. The loan club pays the parent club a % of the value of the wages, they don't pay the player himself.

We weren't in a relegation scrap last season. We barely showed signs of life! 😉

He played in 29 Premier League games for a very good Bournemouth team last season. Do you think he washed away with the tide?

I'd raise doubts about the credibility of that source. A self-proclaimed 'Upcoming Football Journalist' and 'Transfer Guru' with only 187 followers.

We did not know when we signed him he'd be injured in the way he was. After so long without playing a loan makes sense. He needs regular gametime. Not playing second or third fiddle for us.
