In amongst a sea of turd on this forum, this is a fantastic read.
Thank you for taking the time to post that, Kushiro. Some really interesting nuggets.
It’s not hostile and never really has been, but it is generally a very flat, moany place.
The home form for majority of the season has been very good (especially compared to last few years), but the ‘support’ has been pretty weak.
Playoff second leg, 20mins left, needing a goal to get to Wembley - crowds more likely to sit their grumbling then roaring the team on.
Is it just me that doesn’t want West Brom, because law of averages suggests we won’t beat them another two times having done it twice already?
I think it’ll be Norwich anyway.
We would need;
- Leeds to win against QPR and Boro - putting them on 93 points
- Us to beat Cardiff, Leicester and Stoke, putting us on 93 points
- Leicester to draw with WBA, lose to us and draw with Preston - putting them on 90 points
- Ipswich losing one and drawing one of Coventry and Hull - putting them on 90 points
Never going to happen!
I reckon the appearance fee thing is right. If Gav out for rest of season, maybe they rate McCarthy as next best and want to get him up to speed ahead of playoffs.
That’s the team I’ve wanted to see for ages, first time I can remember it being picked. Think that’s our strongest starting 11.
3-0 defeat therefore incoming.
