  1. It surely would be, but that is not very likely. Last year we had class players that could turn things around. Now our only high class player is a Van Dijk and it is very doubtful he´s still with us when january ends. i think we are heading for a relegation battle.
  2. We are definately in for a relegation battle...
  3. Well, that is as true as the fact we could have been 3-0 up after 20 minutes...
  4. To me we were better as long as we put pressure on their defenders. After 20 minutes we suddenly parked our bus in our penalty area and let Spurs rule the game. in my eyes, and watching most of the games this season that is how Puel want us to play. (Rely on counter attacks). So boring to watch, and no wonder we have major difficulties scoring goals.
  5. Tonights game: "50 shades of awful"...
  6. I read somewhere that today was the first time in 6 years Everton had Clattenburg as referee, due to the well known merseyside debacle long ago. Is it possible for a club to demand banning of a particular ref, and on what grounds are bannings like that possible?
  7. Our Lukaku guy is supposed to be Osvaldo, i guess...
  8. Not the first game we are robbed by Clattenburg. I can understand if he had not seen the handball, but when he sees the blatant foul, and not blow his whistle it s just a very poor judgement...
  9. As the thread title say: Isn´t it a bit defensive of Poch to have Three defenders on the bench? I mean, it should not come as a surprise that we, in a game versus Chelsea, at some stage might find ourselves one goal down and will have to set for a more attacking tactic. Yes, both Lambert and Davis entered the game, but i would have liked to have more attacking players available on the bench, in case we need to put more pressure up front. I Think there is a waste of space on the bench to have two central defenders and Chambers there. At today´s game it would not have made a big difference though as both Davis and Lambert did come on, as did Gazzanigga, but in case we did not have to change goalie we could not have made a substitution anyway that had made us a more potent attacking side...
  10. Letting a ball in from at least 80 yards? How can it NOT be the goalkeepers fault..? (I don´t care how windy it was that night. Boruc must have played at windy circumstances before...)
  11. What the fork is going on..? Two gifts from players who should know better. Let´s hope this will be the low point of the whole season when it is time to sum it up. It is hard to Believe Boruc´s forkup won´t be... :-(
  12. Even though we played a mostly brilliant second half of the game we still got no points from it. Off course it is nice of SAF to praise our efforts but in the end it means nothing. If we lose to Wigan (heaven forbid) we are probably back in the relegation zone and no matter how much the opponents praise our way of playing it dont automatically translates to us getting points in the table, Lots of fans seems to be all over the moon after last nights performance, and rightfully so, but it is at games like at Wigan away we REALLY have to play brilliant, and also score when we get our opportunities.
  13. As a swede myself perhaps i should be excited over the possible signing of a swedish footballer, but Martin Olsson would (in my eyes) not at all be an upgrade as a left defender. His strengths are the offensive side of the game, but when it comes to defending he is not at all as good as Danny Fox.
  14. O´Learys in Örebro is where I will celebrate in the event of promotion. Guess I will be quite alone in my celebrations. Especially since Alexander Axén, (the GAIS manager, and a keen Saints supporter) moved to Gothenburg...
  15. Hooiveld might very well be a terrific signing for us, even though it is only on loan. He made an excellent name for himself here in Sweden 2009 when he was one of the key contributors when his club AIK become swedish champions. In fact, he played so well he became nominated to the "defender of the year"-award in swedish football. (An award who was won by swedish international Olof Mellberg) I watched quite a lot matches when he played, and he impressed me a lot. A big and powerful player, with decent passing skills. Not the fastest defender you have seen, but not too slow either. I highly doubt he has become that much worse in just a few seasons, although injuries have trouble him a lot.
