  1. You’re going to be even more surprised when you read the 5 links you posted and only two of them show examples of the problems you seem to be concerned about. The first link clearly states a technical issue that stopped paper tickets too. The 2nd is from 2022 and USA but yeah highlights your concerns. The 3rd is essentially an FAQ section. The 4th is a concern. The 5th is a forum of posts made in Feb 23 which seem to mirror your posts about being upset about something they’ve announced and not yet experienced but goes dead shortly after.
  2. Alfie House stating ‘no need to panic is all I can say at this stage’ on Twitter tonight. Suggests something is lined up but not able to be announced yet. Also found the cropping of today’s video and pictures of their training odd today. Like they are deliberately hiding coaches.
  3. Yes, it will not work for everyone, just like last seasons system didn’t. I didn’t even have to own a company to know that fact. I also hate to break it to you, because you seem to think Saints will have a whole in house IT department on this but on the basis the app is identical to two others on my phone for other sports and by someone else’s on here is the same as the Euro’s, I’m going to guess it’s not been set up, produced, developed or published by Saints, just branded by them. And guess what, they work by and large, fine. If your experience with apps failing so bad leaves you this stressed then maybe start looking at some of the people you employ.
  4. For someone who apparently works for a high tech IT company you seem weirdly incapable of reading and following very simple instructions the club sent you in an email. All the instructions are there, if you cant work it out then ask one of your colleagues or few thousand friends. Try it before deliberately being annoyed at something and making up hypothetical situations.
  5. You’ll be allowed into the game with a lot less fuss than if you turn up arguing all of that whilst having a couple of spare phones in your pocket, that’s what’s in it for you. The only thing that has to go right is turning up with your ticket and hoping the scanner works properly. That’s no different to last season. The only difference is where you hold your ticket, which I think, you think is a bigger deal than it actually is for most people (the others have alternative available to them for a small charge).
  6. It’s about as uncomplicated as it could be. The ticket will be on your app, and you open your app and scan it to get in. There’s nothing more complicated this way than having the ticket in your pocket and scanning it. It’s actually just one less thing to forget. There might well be some issues with it at some stage, just like there was issues when people’s paper/card tickets didn’t work, the process will be no less or more inconvenient as it is now.
  7. Open the app and stick the QR code under the scanner. Remember those steps and you will be fine.
  8. Genuinely not sure how downloading an app and transferring it someone else who will also be able to download the app could be any easier. Also unable to see what’s complicated about the app being scanned by the ticket machine either.
  9. These are perfectly normal processes for apps.
  10. Suspect it'll be the same restrictions there has been for years and is at all other grounds. Don't give it to away fans (obvious ones anyway) or anyone you think might get you banned through behaviour because it will be traced back to you.
  11. Yeah that is exactly what I said, well done.
  12. Maybe yeah.
  13. I don't think there are any top quality international teams tbh (in comparison to club football I mean). All recent evidence of teams who make the late stages suggests you need to be well organised, hard to beat and have some star quality. Feels like Englands results under Southgate suggest they are all of those things. He's quite clearly a decent international manager.
  14. Just the 3 semi finals and better out of 4 for Southgate btw.
  15. For what purpose?
  16. There is a transfer ticket option in the app. Suspect if the other person downloads the app and you click on that option, the instructions will allow it to be transferred over fairly simply.
  17. Nobody needs to set the premier league on fire.
  18. I don’t think there is no pathway at Saints either fwiw. We’re stuck in a weird phase were we haven’t had good enough players coming through and then when we do we’re in a league situation that didn’t really call for patience and environment for them to played lots over experience. That’s fine and understandable but will lead to a situation where players below them will rightly be turned by other offers, whether it be a pathway related, money related or just the chance to play European youth football and train with the best. Hopefully we can convince Dibling, SAA, Meghoma at least there is opportunity here but that trust needs to be earned by the club at some stage
  19. That’s not the way ‘pathways’ work mate and however tougher it might be it’s quite clear from their records theirs is more appealing than ours. I think people are stuck in a bit of a time warp regarding our academy. We aren’t the poster boys of opportunities anymore, quite a bit to do with lack of quality but there’s very little we can sit down to a under 18 year old and point towards and say ‘that can be you soon’. Fancy coming off the bench sometimes when we’re 4-1 up? Nah? What about going on loan to port vale? No? You’re off to Brighton instead are you? That’s weird.

Pretty sure SAA will go on loan. Meghoma in the last year of his contract I believe so will be interesting if he signs a new one too and goes on loan with it or maybe seeks to leave himself.

Let’s nip this narrative in the bud once again. They are 15/16. These top clubs and academies are the best places for their education, to train with, play against and be coached by the best is quite rightly something kids who get those opportunities should very much explore. Whether they are right for them is up to them, Dibling for example decided the best place for him was here and whether it works out is up in the air, as is any young players career anywhere, but just noting it down to money is absurd because it’s quite obviously about more than that. Also find it quite funny people feel Southampton is the best place for young players of that age when there is very little recent evidence of academy prospects getting regular opportunities in the first team anyway.
  22. Enjoying the clamour for Gordon, Mainoo and Palmer to start without anyone mentioning the Iceland game just over 2 weeks ago.
  23. This is fine if you've got a somewhat engaged Mcoist and an obvious penalty to summarise but there is and will be loads of times a commentator and summariser are getting hysterical over something "that's obvious to anyone who has played the game blah blah blah" and someone calmly explaining why they should calm down will be worth it.
