Exactly nothing isn't fair for someone who has been seriously injured and messed around by a club he clearly wanted a chance at. Like most youngsters he'll need a settled environment to prosper. It's definitely a gamble but there's zero evidence his attitude is a problem.
-
Which is a perfectly reasonable take, it's the suggestions of a bad attitude/application that baffle me. Opinion on him as a player is subjective, but I'd also remind you he's 22 and his best years are obviously ahead of him.
-
Young player has fluctuation in form and his attitude and application is questioned. Incredible. Very little difference between Broja and say Evan Ferguson but people would wet themselves over signing Ferguson.

It’s normally mid June as contracts generally come to an end on the 30th June.

Really don’t see Ings happening. Said this last year but he’s too similar to what we have. Imagine telling Armstrong, after his best season for us, ‘yeah that guy you replaced initially, he’s coming back’. If we’re signing a striker to replace Adams it’ll be someone with the same profile as him. Think his agent is once again just using the convenient link to get his name out there.

Adam the Lama to return to Saints? Is this true?

That’s for the club to explain, not me. Would be shocked if it wasn’t linked to a coaching role of sorts though because that’s a route Lallana clearly wants to go down. Stuart Armstrong only started 14 times last time we were in this league by the way, if we’re fixating on numbers. -

How old are you out of interest? Because making swipes at people’s personal lives and then saying Wet Spam you’re coming across as 14 max. The full quote of this, which was conveniently cut by the original poster, is different. I suggest people read it before concluding he thinks he played too much fitness wise. He’s quite clearly talking about how injuries in the Brighton squad meant he played more than planned originally. He goes on to stress he has more to give fitness and enjoyment wise. Suspect he’ll be involved in the coaching side here too because that was his hopes last year but ended up ‘playing too much’. -

Just cutting the quotes to suit your narrative is sublime btw 😂 -
I quite liked them but there’s maximum two that are realistic. And I’m not a football recruitment department so won’t be having a go myself.

All the classic cliche suggestions here. Couple of players they’ve heard of from links in the media. Random guy from Germany who is good on a computer game/YT video. Young keeper from a relegated club. Younger brother of really good player and then a random loan for a ex player they think is out of favour at their new club but in reality is injured and will have zero interest in coming back. Zero thought for any of the cash involved or practicalities of signing any of them if they were available. Might get one right so they can act like they know wheat they are on about a while later and will certainly get nowhere near the others but they will be good somewhere else so they can say ‘ I told ya we should have got him’.

This is also another myth about JWP. He wanted European football and got it.

It was twice, against Liverpool and Chelsea I think. But if this fella didn’t see the other games then it didn’t happen.
-
Understand the valid arguments about the benefits Lallana can bring us now (there’s valid arguments either way) but really think people need to get over the way he left us thing now.

34 Premier league starts. 3 sub appearances. Joint combined most of any West Ham player.

Interesting this reaction compared to Burnley’s public pursuit of Tella last summer btw.

Hardly trawled through posts. Click on any page on the Russell Martin thread and you will likely come across hysterical posters making statements that even at the time were absurd, rash and ripe for laughing at. Let alone a few weeks later.

Does that explain why we conceded at will for years before he came too?

Incredible sentence

I think it's fair to say Bayern opted for various people before Kompany but were turned down consistently.

Southampton 1-0 Leeds - Saints are Promoted!!

We'd have celebrated a goal and enjoyed the moment in 2017 if we had VAR. -
The idea that managers like Martin and Kompany chose a certain way to play and avoid ‘getting it in the mixer’ even if it would help their club, is daft, not least because a) it’s not true but also b) it doesn’t stack up. Swansea went pragmatic straight after Martin, and guess what, it wasn’t successful. Kompanys tactics got them an incredible season and therefore changing his way would arguably be detrimental to the players he recruited and based on the fact the other two teams who went down with them were ‘pragmatic’ there’s no evidence it would have got different/better results.

Adrian Clarke has hated us and Martin all season so he’s suddenly changed his tune.
