  1. I actually don’t think it’s that so much. I’ve no idea how he’ll fit but I don’t think you push out a captain if you’re a new manager unless there is a real cause to do so, and not being quite good enough isn’t that.
  2. That’s kind of why I asked who they were talking about. Suppose Ryan Fraser is the only ‘RM fan boy’ we really should be looking to move on. Downes is one of our best players and I’ll be surprised if we look to sell him on and even more surprised if it’s to a rival who have some financial books to sort out and have Harry Winks in their squad already. Rangers maybe if Martin goes there but don’t see that happening tbh. THB will go but don’t have him down as a negative. Manning more than capable of contributing and has even said himself he’s staying.
  3. Can’t see Stephens going anywhere this summer and anyone expecting so should probably start preparing for that eventuality now.
  4. They were talking about RM fan boys weren’t they? Not sure you’d count any of those as that. Agree all a nightmare to get rid off though but the longer the contracts go down the cheaper they will get so fingers crossed someone takes a punt.
  5. Who are we talking about here?
  6. It feels like a good one. Looks like he values players and their personalities which our squad needs and his record of galvanising groups is a good one. The idea that we came away from a manager who had a connection with his players was always daft. Tactically he’s used all the right buzz words in the MNF performance. ‘Adaptable’ being a favourite and playing to the audience and like Spors he seems to favour good physicality so its good to have that joined up thinking again that bought us success in this league last time. Will see how that manifests itself but I hope we don’t neglect the technical side like we did under Ralph by the end. Early impressions of Still are that we won’t. Good stuff all around and looking forward to it. As has been mentioned though, recruitment is key.
  7. Romano 2 years behind everyone else.
  8. Deciding you won’t get into a discussion about football is probably one of the most knowledgeable things you’ve said on the subject to be fair.
  9. Anyone who says they want to watch Onuachu for us ever again needs locking up. Anyone who says we shouldn't sign another striker and they would be happy to watch a season of a combination of that 5 again also needs locking up. On an individual basis I could get behind Archer, Stewart or Armstrong again, barely Diaz but if I had to I would but that being our whole strike force would be insanity. Not because they wouldn't do well necessarily but if Spors is talking about energising the club again, it has to look and feel different next year and the strike force could and should be at the forefront of that.
  10. Talking of blind, you still predicting things that don’t happen?
  11. For all those points dropped because of his tactical decisions that led to his Forest side getting less points than we did last season. Anyway, this is dull.
  12. He also took Forest up via the playoffs which you would have criticised right?
  13. Anyway, my overall point from last night still remains: People who are advocating Steve Cooper as our next manager in one thread shouldn’t be pointing out all the flaws of Martin for the benefit of Leicester fans in another.
  14. I think you’ve missed the point here which is pretty stupid in itself. You said we shouldn’t have needed the playoffs. And yes recruitment is the number one factor.
  15. Nobody said everything was enjoyable either. You’ll do well to find a flawless 46 game season. I don’t agree with the entitled attitude that we should have walked the league or whatever you’re suggesting. We were bottom the year before so on paper the play offs were always a possibility, as they will be next season. Just so happened that Ipswich pipped us and we had to and did get the better of Leeds. I find the rewriting of history bizarre in regards to Martin and last season. This year, I get the frustration although I don’t agree with it, but last season wasn’t the disaster/failure some like to pretend it was.
  16. I’d rather be a fanboy than pretending I didn’t enjoy the season we got promoted.
  17. I’d probably avoid getting into a battle of naming specific games if I were you. He’s got 28 wins to choose from.
  18. Might be worth showing the Swansea fan that we went up and they got worse too.
  19. Think if any Leicester fans did bother to read this forum they would be a little perplexed as to why Martin is such a bad appointment in one thread but the manager they hounded out themselves this year is being favoured to take over here by some in another
  20. Hilarious post and then no follow up from someone who absolutely knew Rohl was the new manager a few weeks back btw.
  21. Brooks and Adams get in our team ahead of Onuachu and Sulemana all day long. It’s a piss poor selection to choose from though.
  22. As has been pointed out on here quite a few times before now, in the last 9 or 10 years only Daniel Farke has had Championship experience and gone on to win the division. Left field clever clever appointments are actually quite..clever. No idea if Still will get the job, if he’s the right man or if we’ll be successful but shouting old school isn’t the clever point you think it is. You simply do not had to have had experience to be successful.
  23. Have you tried looking beyond the ginger hair and football manager bit? That would help and you'd come across less weird.
  24. Think you’d do well to consistently be handed head coach jobs at the ages of 24 -32 if people around you don’t consider you to be a leader.
  25. It’s not about predicting we won’t go up. That’s a reasonable prediction. Its comments like ‘I would rather we have two seasons in the Championship’ and ‘can afford a grace period’ etc. It’s all well and good you saying that now but for that to happen we’ll lose circa 15 plus games next season. (WBA the only side outside the play offs this year to lose less than 16 btw). Or we’ll lose in a big play off tie somewhere along the line. So when those things happen, when we go a month without winning or we lose a few games in a row, I do not expect to see you, FF or anyone else suggesting now that we need to rebuild or rest moaning that we conceded to Callum Paterson or bottled it in the play offs.
