Different managers, different players, similar mistakes. Almost as if it’s not tactics based and more down to bad decision making.

The first one is an example of poor decision making and silly mistakes and I hate to break it to you but that has never and will never be specific to Martin or any particular tactic.

I’m frustrated because I’d like to see us do better, obviously. But I’m also realistic in that I didn’t expect it to be too much different and even more so when you consider our lack of quality in certain areas. I’m also not using every single thing that happens as an excuse to wet myself with fury and have a pop at one particular bloke.

Yeah I don’t believe that’s true but suppose it’s subjective. I’d argue Jones and Selles had much better attacking players than we do now and them being in charge of this squad we’d be worse off but anyway, that’s a pointless debate. Literally 😂

We’re not playing any differently to last season, except we don’t have the quality to succeed in this league. That’s my biggest source of frustration at the whole thing. People can talk about shooting ourselves in the foot and systems all they like but we finished bottom of this league last time and it has 3 different managers, at least two different systems (none of which are comparable to todays system) and still a shit load of silly mistakes.

When this happens I’m happy to jump on board any kind of hate train, but it hasn’t yet.

I’m obviously disappointed ffs, I’m just not entitled, over reacting or convinced if I swear today I’ll be kicked out. That’s the difference. We’ve just been promoted via the play offs after being relegated the year before in 20th position. The idea that everyone should be pissed off because we’re struggling is insane.

That’s not true or even close to being true.

Essentially that’s a very long way of saying majority of people that go to games so far don’t agree with you. As for ‘for whatever reason the fans won’t challenge Martin’ maybe it’s because they remember the promotion last season and have some empathy with the challenge for him and the team this season? As for the bolded bit above, you sound utterly unhinged.

The same reason players get wage rises upon promotion…because paying a championship manager a PL wage in the championship just so you don’t have to offer him new terms if he gets promoted is daft and it’s an incentive to do well.

This would have been a trigger in his contract upon promotion not some desperate attempt to get him to stay.

Hi. Not much to add other than what I've said already recently. Don't really think the manager is to blame for limp attackers being limp and limp defenders being limp at this level. Do think today was piss poor though and we'll likely make a change now so look forward to the next guy making a big difference.
