  1. Let’s see how classy they act if/when it’s decided that games cannot go ahead due to security concerns and the league is voided. Let’s see how classy they (the fans) act when they finally win the league behind closed doors and completely ignore lockdown for street celebrations etc. They’ve acted ‘classy’ as currently, it’s looking likely that the season will be played out. Which from a security point of view is ridiculous.
  2. Agree, it’s more just missing normality. Not just football, cricket (can’t see the cricket season going ahead) or even my weekly round of golf.
  3. Generally speaking, unless there are multiple strains (which I guess is the unknown at the moment), it’s very likely that once you’ve had it, you’ll be immune.
  4. some are clearly struggling with this self isolation.
  5. I would say this is almost certainly the case. True mortality rate is most probably sub 1%
  6. Selfish pr!ck
  7. I actually think it is. If the true mortality rate is that of the common seasonal flu (I’m not saying it is btw), then isn’t all of this, which is going to cause global economy distribution, OTT? Surely knowing the true mortality rate will give a clear indication on estimated casualties..?
  8. Just before this point the country goes on lockdown. That point will be some way in the future if everyone follows the advice given. Get symptoms, self isolate for a week. Over 70 isolate yourself as much as possible etc...
  9. We can cope at the moment as numbers are low.
  10. It’s not harsh at all. If he can’t see that limiting exposure for people who are considered ‘high risk’ and most likely to use hospital beds, isn’t going to give the NHS a fighting chance, then he clearly isn’t very intelligent. That and his attitude is staggering.
  11. That’s a different argument all together, isn’t it.
  12. 100% correct
  13. If you decide to ignore A clear message of stay in (for a few months) or you significantly increase your chances of death or even worse taking up a bed and killing someone else is selfish. I don’t care how you put it.
  14. You’re clearly thick as fuc k so I’d stop posting mate.
  15. They’re not more resilient, they’re more at risk but well done for trying to act cleaver and funny. If the comparison is going out for half hour a day to saving a life, and you don’t think that’s more important then you need to take a look at yourself buddy.
  16. As you say, a niche scenario. Completely different to what those on here are saying. Perhaps offer yourself to get his essentials, money etc? Take him out for a drive yourself? Appreciate you’re still at risk of catching it, but better than leaving him to his own accord
  17. I didn’t say they shouldn’t get treatment, I said back of the queue
  18. I have parents who are over 70. And I will be telling them the exact same. I have friends who are considered a potential ‘high risk’ but can not go to work due to the financial burden of them not. Let’s say they get it, they would likely need ICU treatment, them beds will then be taken by people who are too selfish to stay at home for 3 months. So yes, it does have a negative impact on me. What I don’t understand is you know the risks, you know why you’re being asked to stay at home, yet you feel the need to argue it and say it’s unfair
  19. Relevance? If I was deemed high enough risk that the health experts and government recommend I stay at home i will do. Like when we go on lockdown, I’ll stay at home if it helps keep me and friends/family safe.
  20. This may sound harsh, but I’m of the opinion if the government issue clear instructions and advice and you chose to ignore and contract the virus needing ICU treatment then you should go to the back of the queue. Hard to implement mind.
  21. You couldn’t make it up. Stay in for a few months or risk potential death and people are worried about getting the Car MOT’d
  22. Possibly the strangest and most selfish mentality I’ve seen on this whole topic. Batman is the pr!ck, quite clearly you are. Of course the NHS is for sick people, but if you haven’t noticed, there are going to be a hell of a lot of sick people in the coming months... more than the NHS can handle. So if the advice is for those who are high risk (over 70’s) to stay indoors, limiting the strain on the NHS and potentially saving a life, then how hard is it to follow for a couple of months.
  23. For now. Let’s see how that pans out in 2 weeks time. And I don’t know about you, perhaps you’re into this sort of thing, but at my work, we don’t get sweaty and have bodily contact for an hour and half.
  24. I assume this game is completely non contact and they all have to stay within 3 meters of each other, yeah?
  25. Why disrupt 2 seasons, when you can only disrupt 1. It’s not fair on those challenging for promotion / titles, but it’s also not fair people are going to die.
