Absolutely no way a team in 18th place can improve and go on a run of a few wins, so that’s really good news.
-
No trolling here, just pointing out we are 7 points clear so 100% safe as despite playing everyone below us, there is no way that they will get 2 more wins than us. No chance at all. Anyhow, Didn’t you say we are better than sheff United? Let’s not talk about silly posts pal.
-
No chance. It’s absolutely impossible that the teams below us will go on a run of form. Only we are allowed to do that.
-
We already have a perfect fit for CM at the club. It’s just a shame lemina doesn’t want to play for us.
-
The reality is, since Cédric left, JWP is our best RB (as well as CM). Highlights the shambolic decision to let him leave.
-
Pointing out flaws of a club, which currently has many of them from top to bottom, doesn’t mean you hate the club.
-
To be fair, what more could he have done? We have **** all available to us and generally speaking, everyone other than Ings are pretty sh!t.
-
Better than sheff United and Burnley on those days.
-
Not a great set of results for us today (let’s pray for an expected Liverpool win). Just goes to show how massive that win was last week.
-
Or a better contract offer. Although I do expect that he’ll leave. Not that I’d be too disappointed.
-
So no clubs outside of the PL can afford a total player package of £5-10m? Don’t talk nonsense. Wanting to pay a very very poor player £50k a week is a different argument, but giving him away for nothing makes it affordable for pretty any club in the top 2 tiers across Europe.
-
I put it down to the fact our lot think we’re actually better than we are. As shown on here the past couple of days 6 points off relegation = no chance we’ll go down 6 points off Europe = we’ve got a good chance, we’re better than Burnley (who’ve beat us twice and finished above us 3 seasons running) and Sheffield United (who’ve been outstanding this season). We need to accept that we’re trying to play champagne football on a frosty jacks budget. We need to accept that the manager is getting 15-20% more than probably 90% of managers could and that they are going to make mistakes. Don’t groan when the ball goes back, don’t sarcastically cheer when the keeper makes a save or a defender clears the ball. Get behind the team and try and be positive towards them.

So did we compromise our game plan when we stuck 2 men on Grealish Saturday or Zaha when we played palace? As for the turkey shoot, 28 shots, 2 goals (1 of which was a open goal in the last minute). I bet teams across the globe are shaking in their boots at that conversion rate. Which goes back to my original point, if the rest of the team are only scoring once every 1.5-2 games, then you can afford to adapt your game plan to single out their best player.

So... as things currently stand... keep ings quiet, you’re likely to keep us quiet (as per the original post). Yes or no?
-
The post said, if you stop ings from scoring, you’ve got a good chance of stopping us from scoring. As the stats show, that’s true. Or do you disagree?
-
You are correct sir. Like the gentleman who said about keeping ings quiet, is also correct
-
Then the statement ‘keep ings quiet, you keep us quiet’ wouldn’t be correct..
-
They’re not really wrong, are they. Take away ings goals this season and we average roughly a goal every 1.5 games.

Keep to the topic please. If you’d like to discuss Bertrand and his past and/or future please use the relevant thread. Thanks.

Haven’t stopped laughing since reading that. Cracking banta there bro.

Our support is sh!t, Shane long as a striker is sh!t, Burnley players are sh!t, just better than ours (in some positions). We were in with a chance of relegation if we hadn’t won Saturday (thread started before Saturday). Hope that helps pal.

Of course I’m going to mention Burnley, when the question was directly about Long and Jay-Rod / their strikers. Not going to start mentioning Norwich’s record when it’s completely irrelevant am I... top input though fella

Because clubs look at deals as the whole package. Transfer fee + salary over length of contact. If we give him away for nothing, the £5-10m we might have got for him would cover his salary (let’s say £50k a week, probably about what he’s on) for 2 - 3 years.
